Description:

1971 Ford F-150

1971 Ford F100 4x4. This is a true 'Barn...Okay...Carport find.' 360, 2 barrel carb, 4 speed manual, high/low 4X4 with locking hubs, Starts easily, drives well & stops as expected. Engine does not smoke or sound loose. Probably could use a professional tune up. All gears feel solid. This truck would be easy to completely restore to perfection or drive/show as is. Paint has been 'touched up' in spots, but very small areas, years ago. Very solid truck with minimal rust through, only in the normal areas. Pictures are detailed.
Items that may not be noticed; Dash pad poor, needs replaced. AM/FM Cassette appears broken. Not a power steering or power brake vehicle. No A/C. Has saddle tank doors & selector switch, but no tanks, Left rear fender needs a replacement brace, missing. One forward bed cross-member rusted out. Battery bracket broken. Window rubber not completely butted together (1/2 inch gap at bottom). Bottom of tailgate (inside & out) slightly rusted through, but tailgate operates, closes properly & is very solid.
Under hood; Great shape! No rust noticed. New belts. No apparent leaks. Good hoses.
In Cab; Dash in good shape. No apparent extra holes or misfitted stupid stuff. Does have trailer brake controller. Again, dash poor, taped over cracks. Doors solid, open and close like factory. Bottom door rubber worn. Seat vinyl good shape. Rear window slide. Emergency brake operates. All gauges appear to operate properly. Signal lights & dash lights work properly. Floor solid. Fair floor mat. Glass great! One small 1/8" chip in windshield, but this is the glass of 1971...It'll take more than that to crack! Side windows excellent, roll up & down smoothly.
Under side; Has no apparent leaks. Transfer case shows some residue, but hasn't dripped recently.
Have not checked drive train fluids, other than engine oil & coolant. Duel exhaust, tight & good shape, with glass packs. Sounds medium rumble, with no leaks. Shocks appear good. Springs appear to have proper factory temper & curve.
Bed super solid. No rust. Receiver hitch installed, 'old school.' Appears solid & proper.
Lights all work.
Wheels/tires. Aluminum, not original, in good shape. Tires all 75% tread or more, sidewalls appear good shape, but tires have a few years.
