Description:

1932 Ford Custom Roadster

In a world of production car conformity, be bold.

Nothing turns heads like a custom street rod.

Owna piece of Automotive History. Legendary Custom Car builder Chuck Miller who has built the Red Baron, The Sonic Cuda, The Zingers, and The Ridler Award winning Fire Truck. Miller needs more room for future projects and is selling his latest build a 1932 Ford Roadster.

Although the car has not been around very long it already has a long list of awards, First in Class at 2013 Detroit Autorama, and chosen as Street Rodders top 100 and Good Guys Columbus Pro Pick 2015 Award winner.

The car features a Harwood fiberglass body that is covered in ten coats of custom blended Green Light and Green Dark Urethane paint. To accent the car’s paint job Metro Detroit’s own “Little Dickie” added some pin striping

The exterior of the car features boltless front and rear polished stainless steel spreader bars. One who takes a close look at the rear tail lights and the pair of front 32 commercial head lights will notice there are no wires showing.

A small block LT-1 Chevrolet engine powers Miller’s 32 Roadster. A Walker radiator was installed to keep it cool on hot days. Power is transmitted thru a 700R transmission to a Ford 9-inch rear end.

An American Autowire electrical harness was custom built and installed in the car so that everything old and new could communicate with each other.

Stopping power is provided by a pair of Wilwood disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear. The car rides on a set of “Big and Little Diamond Back tires, which are mounted on steel wheels painted to match the car. Beauty rings, wide white walls and 40 Ford hub caps give the car a period correct look.

Clean is the word that describes the interior on Miller’s 32. When looking at the dash the only items you see besides the Lime Works steering column and 40 Ford steering wheel is a complete set of VDO gauges which allow the driver to monitor the engine’s function. The ignition, turn signal, sound system controls and gear shifter are all within easy reach but out of sight. Storage for small items is available behind the custom made Glide front seat. Door panels and seat was covered by Rag Boy.

On cool days driver and passenger can keep warm with the Vintage Air Heater. If you like the topless look, the top by “Rod Tops” can be easily removed, folded and stored in the trunk. Because of the top’s design it leaves a clean rear deck.

Rag Boy also did the work on the 32’s trunk. A custom polished stainless sill plate gives the trunk a little extra bling. A custom shelf was added to the trunk so the top could be quickly and easily stored and still have room for a cooler and chairs for the cruise.

Attention to detail is one of Miller’s claims to fame. This is even true on parts of the car most people may never see, like the underneath of the 32. If you climb under the car you will see that the paint is the same quality as the rest of the vehicle and it is even pin stripped. All brake and fuel lines are polished stainless steel. To keep the passengers cool on warm days, custom built heat shields were installed above the polished stainless steel exhaust system.

The car has a clear Michigan title and is titled as a 1932 Ford roadster, not an assembled vehicle. It has less than 100 miles as of 6/20/2016

Be sure to ask Chuck about his 47 FordWoodiestreet rod that is also available.
