Description:

1979 Ford F-150

Total custom 79 Ford F150. I have had this 5 years and have turned every bolt at least once. This is a daily driver and 4 wheel drive beast. I know every single thing about this truck. I bought it from a guy in Nebraska as a red truck, sort of ran. I tore the whole truck apart and I mean literally. Here is what was done somewhat in the order i did it.
Transmission and Transfer case - rebuilt both the C6 auto trans and NP203 transfer case. They were professionally rebuilt. I have an extra fully rebuilt NP203 that will go with it. This was done in 2012, about 2,500 miles ago.
Complete interior tear out. All interior torn out inside of cab painted, custom radio six speakers 2 1000 watt amps delivering power to 2 subwoofers behind the seat and separate amp to speakers. all new carpet, paint to dash, saddle blanket seat cover put on existing black vinyl seat which has some tears. All new windshield and molding, new split rear window with new moldings, new moldings all around existing windows, new smoker pivot windows on both sides, 5 marker lights on top on truck, new custom headliner. body of truck fully sanded repaired and primed and painted black and high gloss. All new exterior trim, lights, grill insert chrome trim and door inserts, everything. this was about 2013.
Suspension - I focused on the lift, shocks, brakes, hubs wheels and tires. 8 inch springs on front, blocks and u bolts on back all six shocks were changed to Procomp extra longs, new rotors calipers and brake pads, master cylinder, brake lines. Mile marker locking hubs, new wheel bearings added the 35x15 nitto mud terrains. All done about 2,000 miles ago
Steering. Added new adjustable track bar, new power steering gear box and new power steering pump and lines. The truck (as with all 79s I have seen) has a lot play and struggles with the steering of the larger tires. I have added a Borgeson Custom steer shaft and also reinforced the welding on the front of the frame. I have a little whining noise when i turn either right or left. The steering works but makes some noise and has some slop and is a constant frustration of mine. It does not feel like my F150 Raptor. Parts again were all done 2013.
Engine - Pulled the 400 out and fully rebuilt the entire motor all rods and pins, new motor mounts, oil pump, water pump, radiator, all new fuel lines, new MSD electronic ignition and distributor for more power. All MSD plugs and wires. Custom made 2 exhaust lines from the headers and have two separate mufflers one off each header, sounds bad ass all the time.
This could easily become one of those show trucks getting $25-$30 thousand with a new paint job and some more attention to the detail. I planned on going that route but the truck is too much fun and we are the ones to call when someone is stuck. I have never not gotten someone out of tough spot, and we just drive it too much. I have some other projects and broncos to work on so this one is ready for the next owner.
I have two video links. One is a walk around the vehicle at cold start, you can hear the high RPMs as it is started cold prior to warm up. The second is a link with a start after it is warmed up, you can hear the lower RPMs and better sound of the mufflers.
Crappy Ebay wouldn't let me post them in here, so message me and I think i can stick them in a reply.
