Description:

1957 Ford Ranchero

Barn Find 1957 Ford Ranchero, pulled out of a 16 year slumber from Red Bluff California (Hot and Dry Country) Original Starmist Blue and Colonial White looks great for 59 years old. Although we will be decoding the engine on Monday we believe she has the factory installed 312 4v that produces 245 horsepower. Mated to a Ford-o-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission that shifts firm. In 2014 the 2nd owner pulled her out and did approximately $2500 in maintenance. Brakes, A-Arm bushings, valve cover gaskets, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, power steering ram, fuel pump, hoses etc...Detailed hand written maintenance records will come with the Ranchero. This old girl starts right up, runs drives and stops very good. She does have some rust around the rear wheel wells and surface rust underneath. A great daily driver or a phenomenal candidate for a full restoration. The interior is all original upholstery, door panels, and headliner its not perfect but the photos detail the imperfections. Please call with any questions or concerns. We can recommend honest brokers to bring this Ranchero to your garage. We do not like to block any potential buyers but please bid to win. Feel free to call with offers our vehicles tend to sell quickly. This 57 Ranchero is listed locally and on several different online sites therefore we reserve the right to cancel the auction early. Good Luck and Go Ranchero!

Here is the update....

Decoding the casting numbers on a 1957 Ranchero is no easy feat. The numbers are inside the oil pan and we opted not to drop it. We still believe this is the original 312 because it has factory dual exhaust and a 4 barrel carburetor. As far as the undercarriage the floor pan has several tiny holes and some dime size. They are all located under the seats. The frame is solid, but the rockers are rough and have been repaired previously. I uploaded detailed undercarriage pictures to classiccars dot com. I can post up to 100 pictures there so its the easiest place to post. My 57 is a solid original driver survivor BARN FIND. Feel free to call me with any questions or concerns.
