Seatbelts SELLER REMARKS Fun Ford pickups that also look great are easy to sell. and this two-tone 1962 Ford F-100 unibody combines that classic old truck feel with a clean. updated look that really works. V8 power and a clean interior definitely help. and with good workmanship throughout. this one will definitely get attention at the next cruise night. Ford stylists gave the painters a perfect place to make a two-tone combination. thanks to a dramatic body line that stretches from nose to tail. These unibody Fords are sought after and hard to find. They also added some dramatic flares around the wheel arches. making this one of the best-looking trucks of the early '60s. Finish quality is very good. with tidy gaps all around and a giant clamshell hood that fits better than most. Two-stage urethane paint in bright colors looks great. giving the truck a bit of a traditional look but with a modern twist. Most of the trim. including both front and rear bumpers and the grille. was painted to match the lower body. while emblems like those on the sides of the hood remain bright chrome. The bed is finished in cream to match the upper body. and it's so pretty you'll have to force yourself to actually use this truck as a truck. but have no fear. as it's actually textured bedliner material that's plenty tough for the dirty jobs. Big. bold letters on the tailgate leave no doubt as to what kind of truck this is. The handsome and understated interior focuses on the basics and gets them exactly right. The original bench seat is wrapped in durable. comfortable. and attractive two-tone gray cloth with pleated inserts that look just right for 1962. The dash. the doors. everything in fact. was painted cream to match the bodywork and give the interior a bright. airy feel. The original instruments are only the basics. so a column-mounted tachometer and auxiliary gauges were added under the dash to monitor all the vitals. A 3-speed manual shifter falls easily to hand. and the big steering wheel makes it easy to wheel this pickup around in tight quarters. It's still quite basic. so there's no radio and not even a heater. so this is obviously intended to be a fair-weather cruiser. And please note how the two-tone paint wraps into the door jambs. a sure sign of professionals at work. Don't be fooled by the bright orange engine. it's still Blue Oval to the core. in this case 360 cubic inches worth of truck-grade V8. It's nicely detailed and simple in its execution. wearing a Mustang-style chrome air cleaner up top and a very tidy look overall. No big upgrades. just reliable torque and an easy going personality that make it a lot of fun to drive. It appears that both the ignition and fuel systems have been recently serviced. and it has a rather pleasant burble from the twin tailpipes out back. The aforementioned 3-speed manual transmission shifts easily and has well-spaced gears for zipping around town. but even with truck-like gearing for the heavy work. it shouldn't mind cruising along at modern highway speeds. Painted steel wheels with trim rings and hubcaps are just the right look. and they're wrapped in 235/75/15 blackwall radials for a suitably trucky vibe. We really like this truck because it's unusual enough to get noticed but still practical and useful as a tool. With V8 power and a comfortable interior. it's sure to become your favorite vehicle to drive.
