Description:

1989 Ford Escort GT

Up for Bid! No Reserve! This is a 1989 Ford Escort GT. This is a very cool little car. It has a great running 4 cylinder 1.9 High Output engine(110hp) with a 5spd manual transmission. Very straight body. Good paint for the year. RUST? Forget about it. It has NONE! It has some chips and scratches. Interior is in good shape for the year but is showing some wear. Completely-totally Stock! If you were shopping for a Escort in 1989, this was the one to have. Handles like a go-cart. Drives very well. Shifts well. Great tires. Brakes are good. Everything works. Tags are good til 2017. Windshield has a repaired chip. All the glass is good other than that. All the lights work. It's really a fun little car. The fan belt squeaks on colder mornings for a minute or two when warming up. It has a small crack near radiator fill neck that the owner(80 years old)repaired with what looks like JB weld. Still drips slightly and will need repaired or replaced at some point. Been working good, but just so you know about it. These cars are getting extremely hard to find in this condition. Stock radio, dash cover, power locks, A/C. Odometer shows 41k miles but I'm sure it has rolled over its 5 digit capacity. Only the GT with a 5spd came with a Factory Header. This car has been taken care of over the years (same owner since 2001). Clean carfax report shows 2 owners. It comes with some extra parts. A pair of snow studs tires and rims, extra computer, new timing belt(in pkg.), distributor boot and a couple other misc parts. I just hosed it off. It has not been detailed, pressure washed or vacuumed out for pictures. I have the clean title in hand. Low opening bid and NO Reserve!!
Please ask questions prior to bidding. Due to age I am selling as-is. I've done my best to describe this car accurately. Keep in mind its a used vehicle and will need some tlc from time to time.. It's a soon to be classic and if you were around in 1989 you already know it is! $500 deposit required via paypal within 24hrs of auction ending. Balance due within 1 week of auction ending. All funds must clear "my bank" prior to delivery. You can drive it home or I can assist with shipping quotes. Thanks for looking. Good luck bidding!!
