Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this nice 1930 Ford Model A Pickup Truck,The 1930 Ford Model A pickup (82-B) was a popular style because it combined the comfort of Fords main sedan with truck usability. Today that diverse spirit lives in this exceptionally well restored example that would be an attraction at any vintage car show, ruck show, r even parade. The green paint looks great with the black fenders. This glossy paint job looks very period correct, nd while it looks like a subtle two-tone indoors, he green shines nicely in the sunlight. But the real standout opposing hue comes from the wooden bed. We like this look on a Model A because it boldly showcases the older style craftsmanship that came on the earlier vehicles.
While the pickup was one of the most utilitarian of the Model As, t did come with the fender-mounted spare wire wheel, hich was usually reserved for the Deluxe models. Given the massive resources out there for restoring a Model A, t’s no surprise that this one fits together well with doors that close snugly and a nicely aligned hood. Step inside and it feels like a time machine to 1930. That’s because all the major components feel new, ncluding the seat cover, oor panels, ubber floor mat, nd steering wheel. Even the dash was freshly painted. 1930 was the premiere of a new design that gave the center instrument panel more information and an interesting textured feel. This bright piece holds the speedometer and amp gauge, oth of which work perfectly.
All Model As, ven the trucks, ot the same torquey 200 cubic inch four-cylinder engine, hich means maintenance is easier that you would think on an 86-year-old pickup. All the correct equipment is there, rom the flat copper plug leads to the original 6V generator, nd the block wears just the right shade of Ford Green. It even has the gravity-fed carburetor in place. But don’t be afraid to drive around in this classic because the belts, ires, nd hoses look quite fresh. The three-speed manual transmission is light and easy to learn with a quick double-clutch, nd the four-wheel mechanical brakes are surprisingly effective given the Model As light weight. You’ll surely find that this pickup keeps up with traffic easily and cruises happily at 45 MPH and is capable of traveling at a top speed of 65 MPH. These Model A pickups were built so tough it could probably still go to work today. This fabulous closed-cab pickup has been completely restored and has been meticulously maintained. This truck starts, nbsp;runs and drives excellently. It does not leak or smoke and is in excellent condition all the way around. This would make a great addition to any collection.
This is a very fine example of a 1930 Ford Model pick up.
This is just a small example of the restoration photos we have.
