1966 Ford Mustang PRO TOURING SUPERCHARGED - VIDEOS

THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT CLASSES OF VEHICLES WHEN IT COMES TO CLASSIC CARS. PROJECTS ‘RESTORED’ CARS CONCOURCE RESTORATIONS RESTO-MODS AND FINALLY AT THE VERY TOP OF THE BOARD THE PRO-TOURING EXAMPLES OF CLASSIC AMERICAN MUSCLE. … AND THEN THERE IS THIS CAR! BUILT TO MAKE A STATEMENT! The project of the last 5 years and countless hours finally produced one of the badest meanest and best looking Mustang currently on the road. THE BEAST IS considered DONE. STARTED OUT AS CALIFORNIA ORIGINAL RUST FREE v8 car with factory 4 speed manual. All the body modification were done by a professional mechanic and fabricator in Las Vegas who made his name in the business on this car. Taken down to bare shell and completely upgraded from top to bottom. $10k body and paint – superb quality with only one flaw worth mentioning {see video of hood}. Everything from shock towers to rear frame and floors have been cut out {see illustration photos} and built back up making it a full-frame car with 10 point roll cage and drag racing rear frame setup from Chassis Engineering with cross member and 4 link fully adjustable suspension. Fully tubbed in the back to allow for up to 16 inch wide wheels {currently has humongous custom made ‘one-of’ 18in by 13in with 335/30/18 tires with plenty room to spare no rubbing under any condition and super aggressive look and stance. 9in narrowedrear end with 3.55 gears Posi with Moser axles and race hubs. Front suspension is from Rods and custom Mustang II with rack and pinion manual steering and coil overs. Entire suspension is fully adjustable – raise or lower the height to your liking in minutes via hand tools. Though firm the ride is extremely stable and controlled especially at higher speeds. It hugs the pavement and never lets go. Braking is confidently provided via Wilwood 4 piston brakes all around. Power train is very potent supercharged 306ci SBF with forged Speed Pro pistons {9.5:1 compression} Trick Flow stage 2 camshaft ported Windsor SR heads Trick Flow rockers Weiand supercharger topped with Holley 4150 750cfm double pumper carburetor.' MSD ingnition under dash w/6k chip. The engine has just been built and dyno tested at Superior Automotive. Being brand new the testing was aimed at tuning rather then maximum output still it produced 342hp at the wheels at just 5100rpm and 4.45lb of boost leaving room for plenty more. Its important to put these numbers into prospective – nowadays ‘eveyrybody’ seems to have 400 500 600hp engine right? … but no dyno sheet to back it up. Here’s the scoop on this – a built 302 or306commonly described as '400hp' will put down 250-270to the wheels. Friend’s brand new $9k crate 351-based 408 stroker rated at 450hp put down 335hp to the wheels last month. Another friend's '69 ChevelIe with BBC 540cidynoed 850hp at the crank and 600hp at the wheels. Iowned a ’66 Shelby with K code motor supposedly rated at 306hp – it did 180hp to the wheels…. In other words this thing is faster than most anything out there and I don’t care what you ‘have‘ on paper… what it putsdown at the wheels is what counts. This setup once broken in will produce close to 380rwhp based on this dyno sheet from similar built and almost identical power band numbers… I did not want to push for the red line just yet butmy dyno sheet speaks clearly – there’s more power to be had. And that’s just with this setup. Play with the pulleys and double the boost to 8lbs and expect more gains while still being safe. For me as-is is more than I could ever need! Very drivable with the power to spare on demand. As radical as it seems it’s pretty civil on the road and can be driven daily if need be. A lady can handle it. It's not a car you want to take your family in for a cruise but if you need a stress relieve this will be your therapy for sure- it grabs all your senses and suddenly it's just you and the car and no worry in the world... Car was originally built with Performance Automatic Supercomp C4 with manual reverse body – full package cost $4350 with shifter and everything needed {selling separately on eBay but can include it in the deal for additional $}. Shortly after that I decided to go with the Tremec 5 speed for better drivability.

Long story short this beast is built to be driven. It’s chassis is built to handle up to 1000hp applications with all the plumbingand hardware necessary already in place. You want to own a car like that you have to pay for it period. Don’t build it thinking you can save money you can’t. You will pay 100% of whatever it will cost and will know what you have only after it’s finished which can be years. Here you can see what it is you can see it running and driving (or drive it with me if you can be here in person) and you know the final price. I’m told I’m pricing the car low will see. I’d be the first guy to tell you that it’s a chunk of money but hey there are those who ask $200 300k for pro touring…

Cash is king. If you are not bringing anything to the table don’t expect to buy this car. Simple as that. 949_374 884nine

Clean title in hand. Full documentation comes with the car along side of many more photos and videos from the built process initial firing of the supercharged motor dyno testing etc… Very comprehensive as this listing itself. By watching all the videos you will see and know more about the car than if you came in person. Think about this - In the videos there’s 3 hours of driving time which is 10 times more than if you go see car in person…

AS RESTORED AS IT IS IT'S SOLD WITH NO WARRANTY AS STANDARD WITH ALL CLASSIC CARS. SHOULD YOU BE LOCAL THE SHOP THAT DID THE PERFORMANCE UPGRADES WILL STAND BEHIND ITS WORK GUARANTEED.

PROS: as stated above plus -all gauges work wipers missing but in working order. All locks working all glass in great condition with new quarter went window assemblies. Very loud exhaust :-)

DYNO ARTICLE http://www.mustangandfords.com/project-vehicles/m5lp-0702-347-import-slayer/dyno-testing.html the numbers are virtualy indentical to my dyno results except their testing went all the way to redline at 6200rpm whereas we stopped at mild 5100 – the torque and max horsepower bands did not even meet on my dyno sheet - there’s inevitably more power left. (Comparison table includes hipotetical redline test numbers for my engine once it’s broken in and retested.)
