1939 Ford Deluxe Four Door - Streetrod Project

Description:

1939 Ford Other

Near complete `39 Ford Deluxe Sedan. Now when I say "Near complete", lease understand I'm referring to the parts inventory, ot the status of the project. This will make a fantastic Streetrod, ut it's going to take some elbow grease and a few bucks before you're rolling Hot August Nights. Despite that, his is a VERY good start!

Chassis has just been done to the tune of $10k and as you can see has been strengthened quite a bit. It now features air ride, 4-link rear end, our wheel disk brakes and the front end has been converted to rack & pinion. New wire wheels and fresh shoes complete the rolling chassis.

Sheet metal is all there and features a rich, uthentic patina decades in the making. Despite the age, here is no serious body rust which is one of the reasons this is such a great project. Some parts are new such as the firewall.

The doors aren't mounted, ut if you check the sample pics, ou'll see the 39 Sedan has "suicide doors" in the back which adds to the cool factor and let's face it, hat's why you want to build a streetrod, ight? If it were me, 'd be sorely tempted to assemble the car as is and run it with the aged paint and new rolling gear, ut I've got other interests right now.

So, here's lots of new stuff like weather stripping, uel tank, adiator and some other bits. There's a bunch of Bob Drake boxes that come along with it! All of the shiny stuff is here too. The shiny will need polishing and the chrome will need re-plating if you want to make this a show car. But again... it is all here!

The chassis has been setup to run a Chevy motor with a 700r transmission which is not included. You can take the mock-up motor and trans shown in the pics, ut those won't get you down the road.

What else is missing or not included?

I do not have the seats for this car.

Also, he little bat eared dog seen in the pics is not included.

Why am I selling it?

I took this project in trade thinking I'd build it some day. Fast forward nearly a year and I realized that I'd rather devote the time and funds to other projects. So away she goes... lucky you.

What's you're best price?

Dude... Don't. We can negotiate a bit on the price but unless you are serious enough to come look at it, on't expect me to be serious enough to answer that.

What is the title status?

Clean title. Pink slip in hand.

What projects do you have that could possibly take priority over this bad ass sled?

Well if you must know, ne of them is a 60's era Datsun pickup that looks like a mini 50's Ford. It's getting a modern turbo charged Nissan motor and crap ton of custom bits. Don't judge me.

Will you take a trade?

Errr... nah. That's how I ended up here to begin with.
