I purchased this vehicle over the winter and had it delivered to Chicago where it was stored in one of my garages until this week. I drove the car off of the transport trailer and into the garage. This is the extent of my experience driving the car. I now have an 1985.5 on its way to me and I need to sell this one.

This is a no-reserve auction. The highest bidder at the conclusion of the auction will be the new owner!

Exterior The Exterior of this convertible is in good condition. It has been repainted many years ago (by a previous owner). The re-paint has no orange peel but does have minor scuffs, scratches, chips, and dings as found in most older pre-owned vehicles. There are a few spots where small bubbles appearing on both sides of the vehicle under the paint in the fenders, base of doors, wheel well arches, and quarter panels. There is also a 3" x 4" section on the hood where the paint has come off and someone sprayed the metal with red touch-up paint.
All chrome is in very good condition including both front and rear bumper. The glass is in very nice shape however the windshield is slightly foggy around the perimeter. The driver’s side outside rear-view mirror works well but the mount is loose and will need to be tightened.

The four Cromodora wheels are in very nice shape but could use a good polishing. The tires are all in good condition and have good tread.

The black top is in fairly good condition but it is beginning to show it's age. The rear window is clear. Mechanical This vehicle starts up on the first turn of the key and the engine runs well. There is a new battery (albeit the wrong size—too large). The previous owner replaced the radiator with a larger, cooler-running unit. They also performed additional work such as a tune up. This vehicle shifts well through all gears with no issues. The clutch is strong and functions well but could use an adjustment from my perspective as it engages close to the floor. The brakes function well. Exhaust system appears to be in good condition. Interior The interior is in fair/good condition. There dash has a black plastic cap installed on it in addition to a custom black fabric cover. The leather seats are in very good condition but the previous owner installed seat covers from the wrong year. There is a tear on the back of the driver's seat at the bottom. The door panels are in nice condition but are slightly warped. There is a 3”-4” tear in the driver’s side top bolster. The carpet is in good condition but it is old and the passenger's side has tears. The center console is in good condition. It has slight cracking at the base of the emergency brake. ConclusionOverall, this 1984 Pininfarina Azzura Spider would make a wonderful vehicle for someone to enjoy as a daily driver. This vehicle has been accurately described to the best of my ability. Even though this vehicle looks very appealing, it is a 27-year-old car and needs a little work. I am happy to show the vehicle to anyone who is interested in it. I am also willing to provide any addition information and/or photos that are needed to best convey the condition of the vehicle.

This vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranty expressed or implied.
