1978 Ferrari 308 GTB --

We generally are proponents of keeping a car in its original configuration but we've been known to waver for really cool supercharger projects. It's a cold heart that doesn't flutter thinking of Texan Bob Norwood's supercharged Boxer/Testarossa powered 308 Funny car making a pass down the quarter mile. German tuner, Willy Koenig famously added a supercharger to his turbocharged Testarossa when the customer complained about excessive turbo lag. Northeast Ferrari wrench, Wil de Groot got bit by the supercharger...bug and spent a couple years building a supercharged 308. We followed the build on Ferrarichat and marveled at the project when the car debuted in Forza magazine. As alchemists are always thinking of their next project, Wil let his creation pass to a new caretaker in favor of a new project. Wil's supercharged 308 GTB is now in our hands and we couldn't be happier. The project started with a European dry sump 308 GTB. The engine was torn down to the block and rebuilt with new bearings, seals, and gaskets. An intake manifold was custom machined out of billet stock to accept an Opcon (now Vortech) autorotor twin screw supercharger. The list of ancillary modification runs a full page of paper with no stone left unturned in pursuit of making the car as dependable as it is fast. Cosmetically the paint and body are excellent and set off with a set of custom 17" wheels . The interior is original and in good condition. Mechanically the car is absolutely tractable and beyond fast. It is as comfortable driving in city traffic as it is scorching winding roads. Give us a call and let us brag on what a special we have.
