The 308 combined concepts and design features from both the 246 Dino and the 365, with the ability to move more precisely and swiftly than any of its contemporaries. Historically the 308/208 series was groundbreaking for Ferrari as they were the first production cars to wear the prancing horse during production and featuring a mid-engine layout; ever since, the majority of Ferrari's offerings have conformed to this same engine configuration. These were the first production Ferrari's designed by Bertone and the sharp edge wedge shape body which is reminiscent to the famous Lancia Stratos another Bertone designed legend.

The 308 GT4 here, chassis 09542 was completed in January of 1975 and sold new to Germany, equipped with electric windows, radio and air conditioning. It was later imported to the States by Bruce E. Byers and retains its German VIN plaque and license plate frame, import decals, as well as the factory chassis stamping. It presents in original colors, displaying 37,465 kms (23,280 miles), and retains a space saver spare assembly and jack. This GT4 appears to have never received a restoration, but rather upkeep and older paintwork/touchups years ago, while retaining original components and upholstery. It remains an ideal driver or candidate for light cosmetic freshening. This is one of the most sought after GT4 variants ever produced. This well-equipped early European market model is an excellent avenue into the elite world of Ferrari ownership for both the novice collector and longtime enthusiast. It is sure to provide a great opportunity to the casual collector, a first time Ferrari buyer, or even the most avid enthusiast. We welcome and encourage inspection of this great are rare example.
