Below is a brief overview of SOME of the work completed. All work was professionally done and with no expense spared.
Over the past two and a half years I have been building my current and only project, but recently we experienced a family emergency so I am looking for a quick sale.
My car is a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger (Scat Pack Car), True H code, 4 speed Hurst, bucket seat, non-console car. This Car has been garaged since 1991, is incredibly straight, absolutely no rust issues known, Interior is believed to be original, except for dash bezel that has been replaced with original restored Mopar product, and the head liner that was done prior to me getting the vehicle.
The Car has a 391 Posi rear end, brand new high performance drive-line that was professionally built for the car in accordance with the engine power, torque, and transmission. The Transmission is the original 833 4 speed Hurst, with original Hurst Shifter in like new condition. The transmission has been completely rebuilt with the highest quality OEM parts. The entire clutch system on this vehicle is 100% brand new, and only top of the line McLeod Clutch components were utilized.
The Engine is the ever so rare matching 340 small block (DATE STAMP 11/19/69). The engine has been stripped to nothing, went through a series of compression tests and magneto checks which showed the block to be perfect. Once all checks were done engine was built with the best performance components and bolts you can get. Every single item, down to every bolt, is brand new on this engine with the exception of the matching block! The engine build was just under $20,000 USD.
Engine is now a 412 stroker, bored .040, and produces 500+ HP with an honest 450+ HP to the wheels. There is not a head that does not turn when this dart roles down the road, and is a BLAST to drive as well as ride in. My kids absolutely love riding in this car, and my littlest one always asks, "Daddy, why does everyone stare at us?" when we are driving this beautiful rare optioned classic muscle car.
The engine, drive-line, brake system, fuel system, transmission, exhaust system and other new components have less than 100 miles on them. At the completion of the build, about 2-3 months ago, this was the first time in several decades that this vehicle had been out of a garage.
The Carpet is new, with sound and heat backing. All of the brakes and components have been replaced. The vehicle has original brand new very rare Kelsey Hayes 4 piston front disc brakes. Both front and rear brakes are all new! This brake option is original to this vehicle and was an added option at the time of purchase. All of the wiring, including the harnesses have been removed from the vehicle, been professionally restored, then reinstalled. The wiring is essentially brand new with all OEM authentic components.
This vehicle was appraised by Condon Skelly for insurance coverage at $45,000 USD. A copy of this coverage agreement can be provided if needed.
There are very few matching swingers with 340 and 833 hurst 4 speed transmissions, and not another one with the engine build like this. This Dart was built to be a true 10 second 1/4 mile street car. There was no expense spared when restoring this vehicle and it took so long because only the best recommended Mopar performance components were utilized. This was done so that the integrity of the car and it's value will continue to climb. There are several bench seat matching darts for sale with theses options and are usually around $40k USD. I have not seen a bucket seat 4 speed non-console like this for sale in my searches. Doesn't mean there isn't one, just haven't been able to find one. This vehicle is a true collector car and will exponentially increase in value as Mopars are becoming more and more rare; especially with this configuration.
