1973 Dodge Dart

Prepare to be surprised. This 1973 Dodge Dart looks like a nice classic sedan with a comfy interior and even air conditioned comfort. But beneath the hood is a performance-built V8 that makes this a terrific sleeper offered at a terrific price. It's hard not to like the way this one looks when you know what's underneath the skin. After all, the earthy light green is the perfect 1970s color. There is an extra hint of luster from the metallic in the green that can clue people in on the upgrade. Then again, everyone might be too busy looking at all the period-correct details. Everything from the white roof, to the straight sheetmetal, to the black steelies with correct basic hub caps just nails the '70s-style economy sedan perfectly. And the Dart was a pretty good place to create this sleeper. After all, even without the upgrades under the hood, this is finds fans with its classy looks. These were style standouts with the pointed front end, concave rear glass, and the form-fitting bumper with integrated taillights. Inside, the tan seats radiate from within the dark black of the interior. So this already feel far more premium than you would even get on an economy-minded Dart. And the black piping matches the fresh door panels, headliner, and carpeting. They do try to give it a more economy-car appearance with the two rows of bench seating. But up front, the center armrest with individual bucket-like seat backs are another showing that this is meant to be a much more comfortable Mopar. In fact, this one really is good for family and friends thanks to the modern R134a air conditioning. It even keeps some its true vintage appeal with factory pieces like the steering wheel, gauges, and the solid state AM/FM radio. Under the hood, the Mopar Performance ribbed air topper and matching valve covers kick off a tidy presentation that also makes its performance instantly known. This is running a strong 318 cubic-inch V8, and while that's the correct displacement for this Dart, the factory never came close to offering these kinds of go-fast goodies. The upgrades include an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Weiand intake, and Hooker long tube headers that feed a rumbling dual exhaust. Plus, there's an aluminum radiator w/electric fan that keeps the motor running cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping. So not only is it a great performance classic, but it also has a very easy-driving nature. That's heightened further by features like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes. There's one more part to this stealthy total package. This was actually an ex-patrol car from Mesa, AZ. So you get all this power, a cool appearance, and a terrific story to go with it all. So when all of this is offered for such an affordable price, you know you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call today!!!
