Description:

1953 Dodge Coronet none

1953 Dodge Coronet sedan. Painted in Summit hot rod flat dark gray. Roof is gloss white with medium silver metalflake. Pinstriping by "Clint" Original flathead 6 cylinder with gyromatic transmission. Body in good condition with any repairs done with metal welded in before finishing. Most chrome and handles have been shaved and bullnose trim added to hood. Interior is also original with some tears in front seat and door panels. No headliner. Mexican blanket seat covers, Bumpers are original 1953 chrome so have some blemishes but no dents or rust. Grille is S.S. with a couple minor dings. Lowered 4 inches all around with old school cut coils in front and 4" lowering blocks in rear. Engine starts and runs well and transmission performs as it should. New carb. and Edmunds air cleaner added. Head shaved a little and old school split manifold for dual exhaust. No gear noise from rear. Tires are newer Coker wide white walls and wheels were blasted and painted gloss dark green (almost black) with spider caps added Glass is all good except drivers front window is cracked. Keep in mind this is all 1953 technology and does not drive and perform like a modern car. Also available is 1978 Dodge 318 v-8 and torqueflite trans from a 68 Charger that I purchased to use for better power and reliability. The extra motor and trans is not included in auction but can be purchased for an extra $500.00 if desired.
