Description:

1966 Dodge Coronet 440

This has been my wife's do everything daily driver for many years, and she bought it from the original owners here local San Luis Obispo, Callahan & Son's Motors. The original owner was a traveling musician and put just under 500,000 miles and gave us pile of maintenance receipt's which are fun to go through. It still has the Poly 318 and the 727 and the 8 3/4 which have all been gone through when ever needed and they all perform like a top. It does leak oil some but does not smoke. It could go on a long trip right now if needed. Certi-card still present along with fender tag and owners manual with all kinds of notes over the years. It has had 500 model grills installed sometime in it's life, they were there when we bought it.
It had a cheap Maaco paint job on it before we got it and there prep work wasn't very good as it has some bubbling now in different areas, but is very solid California car, I believe the tailgate is the worst around the hinge area and a spot were paint is peeling up below gas filler. I do not find any floor rot at all. The paint still shines very nice and is a 10 footer. The original wheels and caps are still on the car. Not many options were added except a Sure-grip 2.76 ratio.
The interior is worn as its a daily driver car it needs seats redone. It has a cheap cover on now. No one has ever smoked in the car. The dash and instrument cluster look nice as with the headliner. This is the cargo model so no rear facing seat option. We have a ton of pics of all the flaws we can share along with stories of this survived long roof.
This vehicle if for sale locally also so auction could end early.
