1978 Dodge Other Pickups Adventurer SE

1978 D-150 Dodge Adventurer SE, true survivor "grandpa truck". recently purchased this from original owner and hauled home from rural Indiana -- couldn't resist the deal but can't keep it. extremely well-maintained truck since new. virtually rust free truck. highly optioned 360 auto a/c truck. odometer shows 94k miles; owner insists it is correct. fantastic interior with lots of extra used and new-in-box parts. plenty of recent maintenance work; runs and drives great. everything works, down to the fuel gauge and cargo light. AC kicks on and blows but does not blow cold. Gas is fresh and truck has never sat with old gas. Glass and tires are all good.
Original owner was very persnickety about caring for his truck; apparently he and his son took the truck in to have it freshened up at a body shop about 10 years ago, when some rust was beginning on some wheel arch areas, with instructions to use only correct panels and no filler. I had the truck looked at by a vintage Mopar restorer, and he said everything was done well. He said there appears to be a thin skim coat of putty on the bottom of each rocker, which he believes may have been to account for slight variance in replacement panel alignment... regardless, a magnet holds strong to every part of the truck, including the rockers. Truck has been garaged and not driven in winters since the redo. I'm a 70's Dodgetruck guy, and this interior is the nicest I've seen on one of these trucks.Truck starts everytime and rides like an oldCadillac. My mechanic says it could probably benefit from an idle adjustment and possibly some minor carb tweaks, as it likes the gaspedal slow and steady and can hesitate if you stomp on it. Has original spare tire and 2 old school winter tires. Also has a vintage rear airbag system with lines and valves in the bed... i have no idea if or how it works.
This is obviously not a showroomrestoration that is stored in a heated trailer. Ihave included a few pics of small "less than perfect" areas, including paint chips and imperfect paint spray seam areas... but this is the nicest regular driver I have ever seen.
I have clear signed over 1977 issued title from original owner. pictures speak for themselves. truck looks as good in person as it does in pictures. ship it or drive it home. I am happy to answer questions as best as I can; I am not a car lot, I am a father of 3 with afull-time job, but i will respond as quickly as i am able.
