Description:

1967 Dodge Coronet

This is a great sleeper. The base Coronet wagon weighs in the same as a 1969 440 Roadrunner-hard to believe but true. This wagon is a plain jane, no frills car that has been well upgraded to beat up Mustangs and other likely cars. It goes well. All the mechanicals have been prepared by pros, not backyard type individuals. There is less than 2000 miles on the drivetrain. The car is a rubber mat car and no radio. Everything works with the exception of the fuel gauge - a new float assembly is $25.00 - all lights, horn, turn signals, rear electric window work. The red button is linelock. The engine is .030 440, balanced, KB pistons, 9.2 compression, purple 509 camshaft, Direct Connection rocker assembly, Edelbrock Performer RPM, Quick Fuel 750 vacuum secondary carb, headers, full dual exhaust, pertronix ignition, etc. Transmission is a 727 with 2800 stall convertor and shift kit. Differential is a sure grip with 3:23 gears - recently installed to make the car more driver friendly. Oversize radiator with large tranny cooler and also 4" driveshaft. Suspension upgrades include super stock rear leaf springs, hemi torsion bars with large sway bar and also subframe connectors. There is a functional hood scoop (I have the piece removed should you wish to correct the hood. The only rust issues are small spot on the bottom of both front fenders. The upholstery is poor on the front seat. The only improvement I think should be considered is to put in electric radiator fans in place of the clutch fan. The car does not overheat bit runs towards the hot side. Just my opinion. Tires are good but have some age on them - the rears have less tread than the fronts (???) and poverty caps give the car the correct look. This is just a good running fun car to cruise with and destroy the occasional cocky curiosity seeker. It has never been down the strip so not sure what it would run.
