Description:

1973 Dodge Challenger 440 V8 & TKO 600 transmission

This '73 Challenger started life as basic 318 V8 powered car with air conditioning, 727 automatic transmission and pale gold paint. At some point in it's life it became a drag racer with a '72 440 CI engine, all A/C components removed from the engine bay (although, strangely, intact inside the car) and fiberglass nose and front fenders. The car has a real good interior, reskinned seats and new carpet. The paint is Plum Crazy with 1972 R/T stripes. Factory 15 inch rallye wheels. Optional factory 'race' fuel filler flip cap added. Starts and runs fine, but not super refined. If you are looking for a silent, Cadillac ride, this may not be what you are looking for.
Since I got the car I've installed the following:
⦁new cast aluminum valve covers (existing Edelbrock performer intake manifold)
⦁Edelbrock performer carburetor with new fuel lines (replacing a Demon 850)
⦁new coil and voltage regulator
⦁Patriot ceramic coated headers and new dual 2 1/2" aluminized exhaust
⦁TKO 600 5 speed transmission with Hurst pistol grip, Lakewood steel bell housing, Ram clutch
⦁aluminum drive shaft
⦁new suregrip rear axle assy with "Green" bearing conversion, new axles and Nitro 3.23 highway gears
⦁new Hotchkis rear springs, vehicle lowered approximately 2 inches
⦁real walnut rim E body steering wheel
⦁new welded in front floors and tranny hump
⦁all overhauled or new rallye dash instrumentation
⦁RTE solid state instrument voltage limiter
⦁power steering
⦁new front wheel bearings
⦁new brake master cylinder, overhauled rear brakes, all stainless brake lines
I've listed mileage as 100,000 because ebay needed a number but it's actually unknown. I don't really want to sell this car and I've spent a fortune, but I have to finance another project. I'm also selling a yellow '73 Mach 1 on ebay. For questions call Dave at 603-978-0320 or email: scaledave@comcast.net
