1970 Dodge Challenger

I am listing my brothers project car he purchased years back but does not have the time to finish it now. He does not have an EBay account so I am helping him out.SO PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS YOU NEED ANSWERED ABOUT THIS CAR CALL HIM AT 435-823-4042, his name is Les. What you are looking at is a very interesting 1970 Dodge Challenger with an N code 383 engine and a 727 automatic behind it that turns an open end 8.75 rear end. This is a K5 burnt orange exterior black interior car that is air conditioned equipped. AM radio and standard gauges. Power steering but manual drum brakes front and rear. New dual exhaust installed. The car did have 14" ralley wheels on originally but is now riding on 14" Cragar SS mags, some how one came up missing so you will need to get another if these are what you want to run.So here are a few things to consider on this car. It was brought out of Texas 15 years ago and started to go through a restoration. Car was a running and driving car but had a slight miss in the engine. We are suspecting a flat lobe on the cam because the same issue was happening on a 70 Charger with a 383 I did and that's what the cause was. The Challengers engine did not smoke at all when it did run though. A new dash pad was installed, not a cap. That alone is a $1000.00. Seats are black and are not ripped. Door panels are in great shape as well, not chalking as old panels do with age, and grain is still in great shape as well. Headliner is good as well as the back side panels. Two after market gauges replace the temp and amp gauge in the dash.New floor pan in trunk replaced the old units as well and the front floor pans were replaced. All of the metal work you would need to do is done! The windshield has some bubbling in the glass, easy fix, but all of the other glass is in GOOD shape and the side glass have no scratches in them at all. The frame rails are all good as are the spring boxes and cross member where the torsion bars connect. Once again, no metal to replace. $$$$$$$ saved. Now let's look under the hood! IT'S ALL THERE!!! NOTHING HAS BEEN LOST! Other than the chrome valve covers being changed by the original owner everything it had from the factory is there. Try to find that on an A/C car these days. The engine bay side aprons are not rusting at all! There are no spots around the hinges bubbling to indicate rusting. Another savings of restoration costs, these won't need replaced like most cars do. The body had no damage in it, it was STRAIGHT! But was faded. Was primed in preparation to repaint. There were two small areas in the bottom rear quarter panels that were addressed. There again ORIGINAL QUARTER PANELS ON THE CAR! No need to spend money on new panels. New gas tank was installed. There is a small dent in the trunk lip shown in the photo that was from an object falling against it. All of the trim that was on the car is available as shown in the picture. Also the grill is in great shape. Headlight bezels are pretty good too. There are just some slight denting on the outer edge where they are usually smashed. Exterior lights are all in good shape and the chrome trim. Bumpers will need to be rechromed. The interesting thing about this car is that it is a N code 383 four barrel car with a FLAT hood and no chrome exhaust tips out the back and non posi rear end. Almost like an R/T in hiding. The 383 four barrel emblems were mounted on the front fenders were they could not mount them on the hood bulge where they usually go. There is a rear spoiler in the picture with the mounting brackets needed to do it. A set of black 71' R/T stripes come as well with the purchase. All you would need to do is put an R/T hood on and away you go.IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SOLID PROJECT THAT WONT REQUIRE A SECOND MORTGAGE TO FINISH, HERE IT IS.A NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $500.00 is required immediately after the end of bidding. Buyer is to arrange own shipping. And there is no warranty. Seller prefers wire transfer of remaining balance before car can be picked up.GOOD LUCK BIDDING!If you are not going to buy at the end of the sell please don't bid.
