1975 Dodge Dart Swinger

For sale: 1975 Dodge Dart Swinger western survivor, mostly original paint, never seen salt. Lifelong Montana car that was sold new at Grover Motors in Townsend, trunk sticker still visible. I purchased this car last year from a local mechanic and friend who owned it for 30 years. Original 318 car, he wanted to refresh the engine some years back and walked into the local machine shop, where they talked him in to upgrading it to an era-correct 360 for a little more cost. It's a super solid car that runs and drives great. Other than the motor upgrade, wheels, radio, and window tint, it's stock and original. Long term owner sorted rig, not a fluffed-up auction quickie. Exterior: Mostly original FE5 Rally Red paint still shines. At some point in life the car went in the ditch and the hood and driver side rear quarter behind the wheel were resprayed, a low-cost job but the car looks good overall and casual observers won't notice flaws, car show guys definitely will. Will need repaint for serious show duty. Good driver as is. Exterior has no rust that I can see and underside looks great, only issue was trunk spare well that got some rust when trunk seal leaked. Previous owner treated it and riveted in some new metal, a temporary repair but it works. Maybe replace it if you decide to restore the car someday. Also the trunk support crossover rod is gone, and the area on the hinge where it goes is bent. Could be repaired, I just use a prop rod. Paint has many scratches that have been touched up, and a few dings, most notably on front panel ahead of hood and low on driver side. Original vinyl top in good condition overall but bottom lower corners by trunk molding had some cracks and previous owner put sealant there. See 85 detail pics in the linked Photobucket album below. Overall the car presents very well and will draw compliments and onlookers at the gas station or the Steak N Shake.

Interior: All original except seat upholstery, which was redone, and looks great. Original carpet shows just a bit of wear but is in very good condition. Dash, door panels, headliner also in good shape with no major damage. Original Tuff wheel is nice, aftermarket stereo sounds good. No noticeable stains or smells, and glass is good, windows are tinted. Overall decent looking rig that even the wife will approve of.
Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives out well. No noises, leaks, or smoke. Really pulls strong and smooth. Era correct 360 engine has about 5k miles per previous owner and has a performance cam. Car is tight as a 70's A body can be! Sorted rig with just a few nits to pick. I put all new tires on, 245 60 15 rear and 205 70 15 front. Does have a light rolling vibration at highway speeds, feels like a rear wheel bearing, not real noticeable. Will need attention at some point, but not urgent. Also the power brake booster doesn't boost sometimes for the first couple of stops, then it's fine. Plan on replacing that at some point. Everything works as far as I can tell. One wheel stud is broken on rear. This is a nice driving car that sounds and runs good.

Pricing/Misc: If you're looking for a restored show car, this Dart isn't your ride. If you want an honest survivor to drive, this could be the one. Title is clear and in my name, buyer will need to get insurance upon purchase as I will cancel mine. Vehicle can stay here for 30 days, after that $100/month storage will be due. The car runs and drives fine, but flying in and driving it home isn't advisable, Montana is a huge state with many areas with no cell service or roadside assistance. Reasonable transport is available, and I will help load the car on a transport.
