1957 Dodge Other Pickups

Here is what should be a nearly ONE of a kind, '57 Dodge 600 Cabover with a factory Hemi. I picked this truck up from a local farmer, he had purchased it in 1980 from a bread company that went out of business. He removed the bread box, and installed the hydraulic dump box you see now, for use during harvest. His wife actually drove this one, and it still has a wood block wired to the accelerator pedal so she could reach! They quit farming their own their own ground 10-15 years ago, and it had been parked since then. I have searched online, and everything says there should be a number stamped on the block in front of the valley pan. I can't find one anywhere, from what I have read it is either a 325 or 354 but I'm really not sure. I installed a new battery, filed the points, and cranked it over. It sprang to life, I ran it quite a while, dribbling gas into the carb, and it sounds great! The fuel tank is dirty and the fuel pump needs replaced, so I quit there. I ran it long enough to see that it has good oil pressure, and fires on all 8.
The body is in really good condition for being all original. It does have a little rust under the passenger door, and a little at the bottom of the rear cab below where the floor and back wall meet, very easy to fix. Someone screwed a piece of aluminum to it but is isn't hiding anything bad. I removed the seat for better pictures. The seat is all intact but the cover is shot, and padding is brittle. The dog house pieces and air cleaner assembly are both on the truck and are in good condition. I just removed them for the purpose of getting better pictures
When I had it running all of the gauges (other than fuel) appeared to be working. A rubber line going to the remote oil filter was leaking, so I pinched it off. The farmer said everything worked as it should during the last harvest that they used it so it is going to need the typical things from sitting 10-15 years.
I'm sure I am forgetting some things, so as always I will include my name & number, Cort (620) 786-5172. I know some people will not want the box, so I will remove it for free, or even cut the frame behind the cab, if that is all you want. Truck will come with a clear Kansas title. 99.9% of my listing, I do a no reserve auction starting at $10.00. All in all it usually averages out. This truck is so rare and unusual I'm doing things different this time simply because I want the right person to see it. $6,500 or best offer. Please check my feedback from other old trucks that I have sold. Thank you all for checking out my listing!
