Description:

1965 Dodge Coronet Convertible V8 automatic

1965 Dodge Coronet Convertible ("Coronet 440"). Equipped with the original 318 cubic inch V8 (318 Poly) and 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission, power steering and aftermarket air conditioning. A/C does not blow cold air (I have not checked it out. I assume it needs a simple freon recharge). The car runs and drives well. The brakes work fine and the steering and suspension are good. The body is real straight and very solid. I am impressed by the rust-free, original floors and trunk. I have looked the body over, top to bottom. I have only found one rust issue - a small spot (about silver dollar sized) on the left, lower rocker panel, a few inches in front of the rear wheel opening. The rest of the body is nice and solid - no issues. The paint is several years old. It has a fantastic shine but it`s lower level, driver quality. This car can best be described as a "20 footer", meaning that it looks great from 20 feet away, but upon closer inspection you`ll find that the trunk lid and areas of the hood have "solvent pop" (a small, pimple like bump in the paint). The convertible top is in great condition and the plasticrear window is very clear. The red vinyl interior is older but still looks very presentable. The door panels appear to be original and are showing their age. Overall, this is a great looking classic convertible that runs great and will turn everyone`s head on cruise night.
