1970 Dodge Charger R/T

1970 Dodge Charger R/T

The item you are bidding on is a numbers matching “S Code” 1970 Dodge Charger RT. With 45,000 original miles, his is a true collector’s item. Color is “Go Mango”. This color was one of the new “Hi Impact” colors offered in 1970 and is a head turner to this day. Almost every show I have entered the car in, he came home with a new trophy!!

She has the original vinyl top that that is showing its age, ut since I have owned the car, have treated it with Aerospace 303 protectant. I purchased her in 2013 after she had been sitting in a barn in Wisconsin for approximately 15 years. It has been quite the adventure getting her up and going again, ut it is time to part ways and move on to another project.

This car is one of 66 Non RT/SE Chargers with the Rim-Blow Steering Wheel (Option S83). This Charger is ready to drive anywhere. Please feel free to contact me for any additional information you may need. Serious bidders only. I have a clean title in hand.

Modifications from Factory Original include:

Wheels (1970’s vintage)

Tires (Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T all the way around)

225/70R15 Front 295/50R15 Rear

Bumblebee Stripe – previous owner put on (a little crooked) at some point

Additional Items that come with the car:

Multiple vintage advertisements, olor chip chart, tc.

Original Owner’s Manual

Original master cylinder(needs rebuilt)

Car Cover – She has been garage kept and the thin cover was used mostly for dust

Known Issues with the car:

If idling for a long time (parade, tc…) she starts to run hot. I have never let it overheat

Cracked Windshield – cracked when I bought it and has not spread

Tear and Cracks in Vinyl Top on Driver’s Side

Headliner is in need of replacement.

Previous owner removed radio antenna and filled in fender hole, ut did not do a very good job.

Paint is starting to bubble in a few places and a prior restoration on the rear fender well on the driver’s side could use some TLC.

Car had a “light repaint” according to the previous owner in the mid 1980’s and could use a professional buffing and a paint job at some point.

Driver Door upper panel has a small hole from the wing window latch.

Windshield washer is not hooked up and pump will need to be replaced
