1966 Dodge Dart 270 Wagon There are 60+ very detailed pictures below the descriptionThe exterior is very solid. The original color is gold and the previous owner painted it matte black along with painted the wheels, mirrors, and misc trim red. The paint is not cleared because it rubs off with a towel and cleaner. The body does have some damage which you can see all of it in the pictures. I'm not sure what is under the paint, but using the old method of a magnet stuck perfect on all the panels. The body is very solid, but it does have some rust on the bottom of the driver fender. As for the underneath the only area that I noticed was soft was the driver and passenger floor in front of the crossmember. The trunk, tail gate, and rockers have no soft soft or blisters. The bottoms of all the doors on the inside seem are good with no rust. The frame, wheel lips, core support, inner fenders, etc... Have zero through rust. Meaning obviously you can clearly see all the metal shows just surface rust other then what has been disclosed. All of the glass is in excellent condition with no cracks and are all in working order including the rear window. It has the original stainless trim that is laying the cargo area. All of the body gaps are nice and the doors shut very good. This type of car is very hard to describe, so just take your time and make sure you look over all the pictures. The interior looks to be all there and all of the running lights, dome light, horn, and windows are in working order. All of the door panels are there and I did not notice any of them missing hardware or trim. The carpet and the front seat shows excessive wear and the headliner is ripped to the point of hanging. The ash try will not slide and the radio does not work. We have one set of keys and all of the door locks and lock cylinders are in working order. The service department just wanted to make sure it is road worthy which it honestly runs, drives, and rides pretty good. I have drove it my self, and I can see how this would be a neat car to redo or just keep it a driver. The motor has no starting, revving, or idle issues and actually runs very strong with no obvious problems. The transmission shifts as it should with no known issues as well. It will make the perfect project, just think of all the time and money you would save starting with a really good base. The car has lived in California its whole life, it does have the original black plate. The tags are current though 2017 and has a inspection sticker, therefore someone has been driving this car daily.
