Want some incredible, emi-powered MoPar muscle? Want it in a package that doesn't require red ropes and a car bubble? Well, s the old saying goes: "Car culture starts where the assembly line stops". And now that more and more authentic, umbers-matching Hemi cars are being confined to private collections, nthusiasts are filling the void with creations like this killer Challenger pro-tourer. The beneficiary of a recent rotisserie restoration, his clean coupe wraps a 6.1 liter Hemi crate motor in striking silver and black aesthetics that'll turn heads and drop jaws wherever the car goes. If you've always dreamed of owning a storied Hemi muscle car, ut don't want the inherent stress that comes with authenticity, ere's the perfect solution!

BODYWORK/TRIM

This cool E-Body's 2013 rotisserie restoration began when its chiseled body was meticulously stripped, arefully massaged and thoroughly sanded into a smooth, onsistent canvas. Once that canvas was fully prepped, bright coat of Metallic Silver base was lovingly sealed in a thick layer of clear. And when that clear cured, t was decked in black war paint and buffed to a thoroughly substantial presence. Take one look down the body of this old-school Dodge and you'll see tough, lab-sided panels that have been straightened and finessed far past anything that rolled out of the factory. Pull the car in to the sunlight and its wet looking glow accurately reproduces Chrysler's planar lines while offering a level of protection that can only be achieved with today's advanced paint technology. Step up close and all that staring and comparing adds up to one super slick, ll-American muscle car that wraps brutal performance in killer looks!

Wearing lines that originated on Chrysler designer Carl Cameron's famous Charger Turbine Concept, his classic cruiser makes a distinctly MoPar styling statement from virtually every angle. At the front of the car, 1970-exclusive grille hangs a flashy "Challenger R/T" script between halogen headlights, alogen parking lamps, mirrored bumper and factory chin spoilers. Behind that grille, n R/T-spec hood, omplete with modern "6.1 HEMI" badges, ounds tinted glass beneath straight stainless frames. At the sides of that hood, prominent profile hangs flush door handles and chrome-trimmed marker lamps between a stylish 'pit stop' fuel filler, ody-matched sport mirrors and two more "Challenger R/T" scripts. And at the back of that profile, stainless-trimmed valance props a color-keyed spoiler on body-width, DODGE" branded taillights, second mirrored bumper and correct, uad-outlet exhaust tips.

ENGINE

Pop the hood and you'll find 6.1 liters of MoPar crate motor that takes this Dodge from 'very appealing' to 'MUST HAVE' almost as fast as it takes its driver from 'confident' to 'scared stiff'. Measuring roughly 370 cubic inches, hrysler's resurrected Hemi uses a revised block, forged crank, ighter pistons, trengthened connecting rods, ew oil jets, ariable cam timing and increased flow heads to turn impressive 10.3 to 1 compression into 425 horsepower and 420 lb./ft. of tire smoking torque! At the top of the Diablo-tuned mill, color-keyed Spectre air cleaner captures wind using two conical filter elements. That air flows through a factory-spec intake and mixes with liquefied fossils that are supplied by polished fuel rails. That air/fuel mixture explodes in a super clean block that's adorned with traditional "6.1 HEMI" branded coil covers. Remnants of that explosion are forced in to coated, ong-tube headers that are bolted to 2.5-inch TTI exhaust pipes. And cooling for that cycle is provided by a 28-inch cross-flow radiator that's equipped with two electric puller fans and a satin finished header support. The $6,500 V8, ourced from Georgia's Modern Muscle, eatures a host of first class ancillaries, ncluding Wilwood braking components, Powermaster XS Torque starter and a snazzy Diablo catch can. Visually, he body-matched bay comes together every bit as well as the outside of the car, ith its smooth firewall and glossy fenders providing a perfect frame for modern Chrysler firepower. And installation is exceptionally well done, ith tidy looks that could easily pass as OEM.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

I know what you're thinking: "So it has a modern Hemi? As fun as that would be, odern power doesn't always play well with a vintage foundation." Well, n that case, t's a good thing the bottom of this E-Body has been completely updated with components from Dana, remec, ilwood and Reilly Motorsports! The smooth-revving engine spins a Keisler-supplied Tremec TKO 500 5-speed, hich utilizes a tough hydraulic clutch to twist a familiar Dana 60 that's fitted with 3.73 gears and 35-spline axles. Not surprisingly, he car's old-school torsion bars have been tossed in favor of a fresh Reilly Motorsports AlterKtion kit that wraps Viking double-adjustable coil-overs in tubular control arms and a beefy sway bar. Opposite that clip, Reilly Motorsports Street-Lynx 4-link features two more Viking double-adjustable coil-overs and more tubular control arms. Naturally, hat pavement-ripping suspension is augmented by power rack-and-pinion steering and a first class Wilwood Hydratech brake system that pinches 12-inch drilled and slotted rotors via 4-piston calipers. An intimidating engine note comes courtesy of 2.5-inch TTI exhaust pipes, hich shuttle spent gases through an X-shaped crossover and wicked Dynomax mufflers. Power meets the pavement through sweet U.S. Mags 5-spokes and 245/45ZR17 Goodyear Eagle GTs. And the car's over-restored floors frame a roster of fresh components that includes a stainless fuel tank, tainless fluid lines and a heavy duty Charlie's oil pan.

INTERIOR

Grab a seat in this great looking Challenger and you'll find a familiar black interior that's detailed with tasteful accents and bright trim. The first thing you'll notice is the car's firm SCAT PROCAR buckets, hich stretch comfortable leather hides across straight frames and fresh foam. The second thing you'll notice is fade-free carpet, hich rides under color-keyed, Challenger" branded mats. And the third thing you'll notice is a sculpted console, hich centers a TKO Pistol Grip Shifter in a slick of carbon fiber trim. At the sides of the car, actory panels frame traditional door hardware. At the front of the car, factory-spec dash hangs Auto Meter Sport-Comp telemetry, odern Clarion audio and Vintage Air climate control in a faux carbon fiber instrument panel. At the back of the car, fully restored trunk pins a fresh mat beneath a fat spare tire. And in front of the driver, traditional Tuff Wheel laps a tilting Ididit column.

Fully sorted and ready to cruise, his incredible Challenger is a refreshing take on the traditional Hemi premise. With impressive power, classic driving experience and killer looks, t's the kind of car that'll have you thanking yourself with every walk to the garage. Are your ready to experience one of the hottest muscle cars on the planet? Your MoPar is waiting!
