You are bidding on an amazingly rare survivor Mopar classic, 1971 Dodge D100 Sweptside with both the Adventurer, port, nd SE "Special Edition" options. You just don't find old Mopar trucks like this... 127k original miles, urn-key running and driving condition, trong original 318 2v engine, ebuilt carb, ew top end gaskets, resh Pertronix Ignitor electronic ignition, ew plugs, ires, ap, otor, ew charging system, adiator flushed, resh fluids, ilters, tc. I also just had the original 727 automatic transmission fully rebuilt, ncluding a shift kit and new torque converter. New wheel studs, rakes. Has power brakes. This truck was optioned with the 3.55 rear axle ratio and Sure Grip limited slip 8 3/4" rear axle. It also has the trailer towing package. It even has it's original owner's manual in the glove box!
Dodge only made 33,487 full-sized half-ton Sweptside pickup trucks in 1971, he final year of this exceptional body style. Compared to same-year 1971 full-sized half-ton Chevy truck production (206,313 made) and 1971 full-sized half-ton Ford production (332,131 made), he Dodge D100 in any form is a rare and hard-to-find truck.
Beyond the basic D100 model, hich comprised the vast majority of the trucks, here was also The Dude model (estimates of 1500-2000 made), he Adventurer, dventurer Sport, nd Adventurer Sport Special Edition (SE) models. Of all the models available, he Adventurer Sport Special Edition was the rarest of all, nd estimates are that only around 500 were made. This is one of the rarest and most collectible of all Dodge trucks made. You never see them.
The Adventurer SE package including the chrome front bumper, pecial steering wheel, hrome dash accents, ood grain instrument panel trim, pecial plush vinyl and fabric seat, olor-keyed seat belts, ull courtesy lighting, xtra insulation, ual horns, pecial luxury door panels, arpet, eadliner, nd additional exterior trim including bright cab drip rail moldings, ody side moldings, ide rocker moldings, heel lip moldings, nd body side vinyl wood grain trim. A good-looking, ell-dressed Moparclassicin all respects.
The body is in original Bright White paint, hich still shines very nicely, nd has no rust issues. Other than the minor surface rust where paint has chipped, here is no rust rot that I can find. Amazing. I've removed the old worn carpet and taken good pictures of the floors, teps, tc. They are in fantastic condition, nd also still wear original factory paint. There are some minor dings and dents as you can see, ut nothing major; a very good-looking and interesting truck. Original factory painted steel wheels, ubcaps, nd old-school vintage BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.
Bone-stock under the hood, nd just as beautiful there, oo. Original air cleaner, ire jack and tools, ecals, verything. Even the battery tray has original white paint and no rust. This truck also came with the power assist steering; the pump and hoses are there but the ram has been removed.
The interior is also completely original, ith all the original emblems, nd rare SE-only deluxe door panels, hrome dash accents, ood grain instrument panel trim, pecial steering wheel, tc. Great dash and trim, auges work. So cool. Some of these items are Special Edition only, ike the door panels with the vinyl map pockets. All the emblems are present. Stock radio, o cuts or extra holes. Good glass all around, indow regulators operate smoothly.
Clear title in hand, atches VIN exactly for inspection, xport, tc.
