1960 DeSoto adventure

You are looking at a very nice 1960 desoto that was found in a climate controlled garag, was bought off the same owner since 1970,was repainted in the 70's,original color was champagne bottom,w/white to,was change to 1973to 1979 ford blue an white...The car does need a repaint, due to blankets an plastic being placed over it,the quarter on the driver side was replaced in the 70's,not the whole quarter,it was back into the garage door,an he replaced the part that was wrecked,an ist holding up very well, the underside of the car is perfect an needs nothing, the interior is beautiful, needing only to be cleaned..the breaks do need attention,it does need tires, all fluids have been changed..with very little work this could be a very beautiful show car,an a very rare addition to a car collection..Car is being sold as is,with no warrenty...The winner of this beautiful car will beresponceable for thier own shipping....I have drove the car a couple miles, drives out nice, trans shifts great, however with the breaks needing attention,an the tires needing changed,i wouldn't recommend driving it a long distance...the car comes with to many parts to list, parts that are hard to find, they were picked up when they were easy to find,an i will not sell anything seperate...here's some info on the 1960 desoto ; i have this car listed locally,an reserve the right to end this auction at anytime........Clean title...........A true survivor.......i have this car listed locally for sale,an reserve the right to stop this auction at anytime...thank you an good luck...

For its final year, he Adventurer lost its convertible but gained a four-door hardtop and sedan. Instead of being a limited edition model, he Adventurer was the top trim model range for the two series DeSoto line-up for 1960. Ram induction was reintroduced on models with the quad-four carburetor. This was also the only year that car came in variety of colors instead of its traditional white-black and gold combination. Total sales for the Adventurer line posted its best effort with 11,597 models produced.
But rumors surrounded DeSoto that Chrysler was ready to kill the brand and customers reacted by buying other brand cars. Also hurting DeSoto was its design, lmost exactly like that of Chrysler, xcept for the grille and the blade styled tail lights, lso drove consumers into Chrysler showroom where they bought the almost identical Chrysler Windsor without the fear that it would be an orphan like the DeSoto was bound to be, nd soon. New was dual speed rear window defoggers, drivers seat with five more inches added to the seat back,[6] the Hiway Hifi that played RCA 45rpm records,[7] and Unibody construction.[8]
In its final year of 1961, eSoto would offer a single car line, ffered in two body styles. Chrysler announced the end of DeSoto in November 1960, ith production lasting just long enough to deplete supplies of DeSoto trim on hand.
