1981 Delorean DMC-12 36k miles complete Texas 2 owner car - stored for 12 years
1981 DeLorean DMC-12
I have owned this vehicle for about 13 years and purchased it from the original owner in Corpus Christi, exas. It is VIN 5061 and I am the 2nd owner. I purchased the car running and drove it for under a year. It ran and drove great at the time, ut I lost interest in the car and put it under a car cover and stored it until now. I bought a second car in 2007 to use as parts, ut both were complete enough to restore and drive. I haven't had the time to work on this car so it's time for it to go.
I had to remove the door panel in order to access the door handle in order to get the door open, ut the parts are there. Both plastic outside door handles are broken. The car will need to be gone through completely in order to replace all the hoses, uel, park plugs, ires,coolant, tc, ecause it has been sitting for so long. I connected a battery and the electronics still work and the engine turns over fine, ut obviously will not run until all the perishables are replaced.
This car is complete and is not a parts car, ut many cosmetic issues will obviously need to be addressed (cracked dash, agging headliner, roken side mirror glass, eeling bumper paint). The stainless is in excellent shape except for a 1-2" dent in the rear wheel opening. The seats look like they were reupholstered some time in the past as they are in very good shape.
