1973 Datsun 620

Here it is !Original unmolested 1973 620 42686 miles. If you want the base to have the perfect 10/10 Datsun 620 pickup this is the truck for you. Runs great or as great as 1973 L16 with funkyprimitivecarburetorcould beexpectedto work !? Same with tranny, clutch and 4 wheel disc brakes...A lot has changed in 40+ years !
Here is the Run Down...
Alloriginalpaint I think except maybe the roof (If it is repainted it is a perfect color match.) and the inside truck bed which looks like it was touched up with a paint brush? This truck is 40+ years old and has scrapes, scratchesand dings (most touched up) as would beexpectedof a truck this old that has not been repainted.
Rust...Almost nothing. Surface bubbles where the emblems are attached and one small surface bubble (can cover with a dime) on the lower rear of the right front fender. See pictures. I did not try to repair these I did apply Ospho as best I could. The emblems are currently being held on with very strong magnets. I removed the original rubber floor mat and the funky "horsehair" padding/sound insulation and cleaned the inside of the cab. I used scotchbrite pads to remove very light surface "rust-dust on areas of the cab floor and applied Ospho. I did not repaint anything...See pics. I put the padding and the rubber mat back in. I was a Datsun mechanic at the local dealer in the late 70's and saw trucks that were only 5 years old andcompletelyrusted out. This truck for all intent and purpose is amazingly rust free. The underside has in places a light patina of surface "rust-dust" that I have done nothing with.
The seat hasobviouslybeenreupholstered.
Sadly the dash pad is cracked and I have not been able to find a replacement and did not want to do the funky plastic cover. Head liner has a tear.
I have a rear view mirror that glues to thewindshield that I removed, I bought a new stock replacement and sat on it and broke it before I could installed it.
I blasted and powder coated the stock wheels. Almost new BFGoodrich TAs. I should have mounted them with letters on the inside to look more authentic.
Changed oil, New Nissan oil filter.
New NGK plugs and NGK plug wires because no Japanese vehicle should have autolite sparkplugs !
I have new left and right door seal rubber that I have not installed.
The truck had a very heavy duty dealer installed step bumper that I removed and will be included in the sale (see pics).
