Description:

1959 Chrysler Imperial Crown

I dropped the starting price because my wife wants it gone. Am losing quite a bit of money at this price but hoping it goes to a great new home with someone who appreciates what it is and can spend the time she deserves to get her back to her former glory. Really a beautiful car. You can't get a used Toyota for this kind of money. PRICED TO SELL THIS WEEK.

I CLIPPED THE FOLLOWING FROM A WEBSITE THAT TRACKS SALES OF VINTAGE AUTOS. As you can see from the information below (you can do your own research) These are rare birds. You will find many 1958 and 1960 models but the 1959 is rare especially in this condition. Be advised, this IS NOT A TRAILER QUEEN but is a very nice example of this car. IT IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS. In it's day, it was a step above Cadillac. Only the very wealthy could afford one. The engine was removed and completely rebuilt at a cost of over $10,000. The suspension was partially replaced, there is still some work to be done there. Right now it starts and drives but needswhat I think isa front end alignment. The interior is nice but there is a crack in the dash and a couple of small cracks in the steering wheel pad. The interior is overall dirty, nothing a good detailing wouldn't remedy. There are a couple of splits in small pieces of upholstery that you will see in the pictures. Seats are fine, no rips or tears. The headliner is in nice shape. Almost all electrical items work, windows, wipers, lights, horn, etc. I currently do not have the title, not sure I ever did so the car comes with a bill of sale. All the glass is good and most weatherstripping is good, surprisingly so for a car of it's age, some of it may have been replaced but it was not by me. The body is mostly in good shape, there is some pitting of the chrome and a couple of dings on the bumpers. the body may have been hit in the past but form what I can see, nothing damaged the frame. There is minimal rust, no rust through except what appears to be at the rear wheels. This does not show unless you get on the ground or under the car. I have the original books and keys along with some other documentation.

I've owned it for 6 or 7 years, bought it for my daughter who now does not want it. Average sale of the 4 door is over $56,000. I think this one is above average.

I have listed this once before with a higher starting price but now my situation has changed. I have too many projects and need to get rid of several cars to streamline my workload, I have a house under construction, just had 3 houses get hit by hurricane Francis and 2 other cars in various stages of restoration. I am starting this auction today and will be at the beach houses starting Monday the 15th for a while. Please call or text me on my cell at 8two8, two31, forty19. our phone reception is spotty at best at the beach but texts come though. I may or may not have computer access. Please call or text if you have questions. This is a very nice survivor with a restoration started. It is all intact and can be driven as is or you can take it to another level. I did drive it the other day and it died on my after about 20 minutes. once the engine cooled, it started again so there is an issue, maybe with the carburetor? Butterfly sticking or something. I have not looked at it, been at the beach houses, dealing with insurance adjusters and contractors. Luckily I was not too far from home.

I have many pictures so if you want to see more, please ask and I will send you the rest. I can only put 24 on ebay. I am starting this low with no reserve so bid to win. Please look at all the pictures for condition, a picture is worth a thousand words. $1000 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end.

INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS WELCOME HOWEVER, THE CAR WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL ALL PAYMENTS HAVE CLEARED. ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS BY BUYER HOWEVER, I WILL HELP AS I CAN.

GOOD LUCK, HAPPY BIDDING
