1945 Chrysler Other

RARE 1940's HOBART WeldMobile Chrysler Straight IN-LINE 8, (FLATHEAD 8) Cylinder Driving Movable Welder. I can not stress how rare these are to find. My family has owned this for as long as I can remember and I have not found any others for sale in the last couple years I have been looking. FIRST TIME OFFERED FOR SALE. No kidding, my Grandpa, then my Dad had it. My only inheritance from the family estate of over 200 plus antique tractors. Guess I am the black sheep of the family, hum?!! I was allowed to pick one thing! Plenty of John Deere D's out there, but not these! I have been an active member of eBay since 1998, always misskittycat! This is, by far, the hardest thing for me to sell out of the many hundred personal items over the years. But, I can not restore it, as it needs to be, and I realize that. I have tried to put a price tag on it, but I can not find a comparison. I was told they were used during WWII and after in shipyards and railway yards then sold as surplus to rural communities and then individuals. Very dependable welders for the old school arc that are known for their beauty of their welds in the right welder's hands. Yes my family is welders, we built refinery tanks. This machine did run 5 years ago. The main photo with air in the tires was when it was running. I moved it home a year ago. I included those photos of how it was moved and that is when the tires were deflated and now is blocked up in my yard :) where I can keep an eye on it!! So I have decided "EVERYBODY" should decide what it's value is. It needs to be tended to and restored. Offers can be entertained on this. You know, simple, typical eBay rules, please pay if you agree to buy. This should be the FIRST and only time I put it up for sale. SERIOUS OFFERS PLEASE. I will require you to pick this up, as I am not able to deliver it. Winning Bidder is responsible for ALL pickup and delivery arrangements and costs. Located in NE Oklahoma, Copan 74002. This is a 21 day listing with fixed price and offers entertained. I will require a payment within 10 days. Serious buyers only. Haters not encouraged. I will require pickup with-in 30 days, unless other arrangements are made in advance. Personal checks not accepted for obvious reasons. Cash on pickup is sketchy, but fine, always! Wire transfer directly from bank to bank is PREFERED. Any other details that deviate from this agreement must be made in advance.Details on the Hobart Weldmobile:Serial # FW1400Sold by E C Cummins Chicago, ILTroy Ohio Simplified WelderGenerator. Motor. I have the side curtains for the one side on the floorboad of the machine. Please study to pictures very carefully, it is in good condition! I do not have any idea how much it weighs (sorry) but not that heavy, and the wrecker very easily hauled it up. I have a gate entrance to my property and that fit no problem, but a 40' semi? No. A hotshot truck and trailer with a winch and ramps would not problem either! I know I made this sound personal, because it is. I thank each and everyone of my buyers and make sure I never loose my good standing on here. I am upfront with everything. Sorry I don't know any more technical knowledge about this. I just really have always liked it so much! I can try to answer any questions you may have, but if this interests you, you are the leader in the field now! Anonymous Buyers. Good Luck and THANK YOU I am depending on this community to help me find the right home for this unique item! The plan, with my winningsortrade is a 5th wheel rv trailer and truck to pull it, so I can travel. I retired a year ago and the time is now.
