This car is powered by its factory number's matching L-48 350 4bbl. engine paired with the Muncie 4-Speed Manual Transmission. The base L-48 was up approximately 10% in power for 1976 to 180HP. Be sure to visit the historic Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas Texas. This Corvette is one of 4182 Mahogany Metallic cars produced in 1976 a Corvette exclusive color. The paint is in good condition throughout this Vette showing some minor imperfections. This is a repaint of the factory color. The rear bumper cover was replaced with this custom unit for a unique look. Open the doors to 1976. This interior is factory original and in good condition as well. The seat upholstery is in good condition driver and passenger. The rear storage compartment door frames are broken but functional. This plastic gets old and brittle. They are also readily available in replacement parts inexpensive to replace. The door panels show some wear primarily on the armrest areas. The dash itself is intact and in very good condition. The factory gauges are intact as is the Delco AM/FM radio and center console with gauges. The 4-speed manual transmission's HURST shifter goes through the gears with authority. This is a strong running Corvette. Under the hood is the factory L-48 350 4bbl. V8. This engine was factory rated at 180 horsepower and is complete and original down it its unique carbureted outside air induction system. The engine compartment shows well. The engine underhood light is also functional. The distributor ignition shielding and exhaust shielding is also in place. The exhaust manifolds are the correct ram-horn cast iron units. This is a well-maintained Corvette and it shows. The original door trim identification plate is intact and the door undersides are solid. The undercarriage displays the original flooring and framework throughout in very good condition. The exhaust system has been previously replaced and sounds excellent. The differential is in good shape. The engine and transmission undersides also show well. The front and rear suspension appears to be solid as well. This car drives out strong is a pleasure to cruise in. Be sure to play our video. The painted T-Top panels are in very good condition as is the T-Top trim. The windshield pillars are also solid on this Vette. 1976 would be the last year for Corvette's Stingray nameplate badging. This lock was a factory-optioned alarm. I don't believe it is functional. The wheels are the factory 15-inch Rallys fitted with newer B.G. Goodrich Radial T/A tires all around sized at 225/70R15 all around.
