For sale is a very beautiful 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 2dr hardtop, -speed with a bench seat. Rare rust-free Texas car. The car was a Texas car up until 2000. The car was re-located to Michigan in 2000. Since being relocated to Michigan, he vehicle has been garage stored. The vehicle has never seen any Michigan road salt, nd only lightly used for purposes as a show vehicle. Some additional details;
Options - V8, -speed manual transmission, osi-traction (12 bolt rear end with 4:11 gears), haded windshield, ual chrome mirrors, riginal AM/FM pushbutton radio, nd rally wheels. I do have a newer stereo still in the box that will go with the car.
Engine - Matching #'s 325HP/396CID Chevy V8 with 4 barrel Q-jet carburetor.
Transmission - 4-speed manual with Muncie floor shift.
Interior - overall factory like new/original with vinyl bench seat.
Body- All steel as factory new Data code 68-13837. The car was repainted as a Texas car with a show quality refinish, ata code GG-Ash Gold body color and Black pin-striping.
Chrome is good. Front tires are Radial GTs P205/70R14s. Rears are Modifier 60s P245/60R14. Wheels are Chevrolet rally with cap and trim rings. Mileage is 83,650. New thermostat, ew heater core, nd new heater hoses. All of the floor pans, runk pan, tc. are the originals on this car, nd they are very solid. The rear quarters are the originals and have never seen rust. This car is not one of those cars with patch panels on it. The under-carriage is very solid, ut has not been detailed. Some of the original paint on the undercarriage is peeling, nd some very, ery, ight surface rust in areas. But I think you will be hard pressed to find a 'cleaner' Chevelle SS.
