1965 Chevrolet C-10

You can't go wrong with a handsome older pickup in traditional colors, ut this 1965 Chevrolet C10 is actually a wolf in sheep's clothing. The lovely seafoam green paint is low-key, ut those giant tires aren't there just for show; this one is packing a built 468 cubic inch V8 that will put a hurt on just about anything else you run up against on the street.A clean old pickup in classic colors and wearing a stepside bed makes for an appealing package, egardless of the powerplant inside. We'll go out on a limb and suggest that there aren't many of these trucks running around today that have been this nicely restored, nd the point was to keep everything low-key. The seafoam green paint is just perfect on a vehicle from the mid-60s and with the contrasting white roof, t has an old-school truck look that's ideal. Finish quality is quite nice, ith good gaps, mooth panels, nd an overall look of quality that holds up under scrutiny. The finish shines up beautifully and they kept all the wonderful details that make these trucks special, ncluding the flying wing trim on the back of the cab. The flared fenders of the stepside bed give it a muscular crouch and the bed inside is neatly finished with heavy-duty diamond plate, o don't be afraid to use it as intended once in a while. A brightly polished grille, atching chrome bumpers, nd CHEVROLET block letters on the tailgate all make for an appealing package that gives nothing away. They kept the interior looking pretty stock, oo. We love the bench seat with cloth and vinyl seat cover that looks right out of the JC Whitney catalog, nd the handsome tan details are a nice contrast to the bright bodywork. A few extra gauges, ncluding a tach on the column and auxiliary dials under the dash suggest that maybe there's something going on under the hood, ut the install is subtle and might go unnoticed until it's too late. The factory gauges are bold and clear, nd they kept all the original hardware, ncluding the steering wheel with cool horn ring, lender column shifter, nd even the AM/FM radio is a pretty close approximation of the original unit. Black carpets are probably an upgrade from the original rubber mats, ut again, his truck isn't about showing off, t's about delivering the speed. And deliver it does, omplements of a built 468 cubic inch Chevy V8 topped with aluminum Edelbrock heads. It's a clean fit in the big engine bay, nd with an Edelbrock Air Gap intake, -barrel carburetor, SD ignition, nd a set of long-tube headers, t's the kind of horsepower factory that breaks hearts out on the street. It's not terribly pretty, lthough the finned valve covers and chrome air cleaner look racy, nd the big aluminum radiator is all about function. It's backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, o it's also a comfortable cruiser under any circumstances and with a stout 12-bolt out back filled with 3.73 gears, ou're gonna need those fat tires. The exhaust uses cut-outs as well as fresh mufflers, o you can set it up the way you prefer, nd there's a big sway bar up front to improve its handling. The stance is just about perfect and it sits on factory Rally wheels with gold centers and 225/75/15 BFGs in front and giant 295/65/15 Mickey Thompson drag radials out back.A truck that would be desirable just because it's pretty gets even better with all that mountain motor under the hood. A great combination that's a lot of fun and priced right. Call today!
