1975 Chevrolet Blazer K5

Sometimes it's better to let the other guy build a cool truck, hen pick it up as a finished piece. Look at the price on this 1975 Chevy Blazer as you peruse the photos, nd bear in mind that someone spent several times the asking price getting it into the condition you see today. The K10 Blazer was a handsome truck, erhaps one of Chevy's best designs ever. Even after more than three decades, his one still looks contemporary, elped, f course, y the towering stance and beautiful, ich copper metallic finish. It's clearly built for off-road fun, ith big black fender flares to cover the wide-by-huge tires, tubular front bumper with a pair of driving lights, nd matching steps to help you climb aboard. Much of the trim was shaved, ncluding the name badges and most of the tailgate hardware, nd what remains was painted black to match the bumpers. Panel gaps are good, he finish is uniform, nd you can tell from the reflections that someone invested a lot of time getting the metal flat before a drop of paint was applied. It's not perfect, ut for a truck designed to play in the mud, ou'll be thinking twice before plunging in. Expensive custom work continues inside, here there are high-back bucket seats that look like they may have been borrowed from a Camaro. The durable vinyl seat covers are a good idea on a truck with only a canvas roof, lthough they materials feel high-quality, ot low-rent. Black carpets are a nice change from the usual bare rubber mats that you get in some 4x4s, nd the color-matched roll bar makes it feel secure from behind the wheel. Chevy gave these trucks a fairly comprehensive dashboard layout, nd you'll note that this one also carries a trick custom wheel that looks great. A locking center console is a practical addition in a vehicle without a roof, nd someone has thoughtfully added a fire extinguisher, ust in case. There's a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system that uses custom speakers in the kick panels and a big subwoofer behind the back seat to make sound big enough to be heard in the open-air Blazer. The cargo area has been painted with durable satin black paint and for weather protection, here's a removable canvas roof that actually adds to the Blazer's purposeful look.A built 350 cubic inch V8 lives under the hood, nd here the builders were aiming for a restrained look. There's black paint on the block, nd the chrome air cleaner and valve covers are the only real flashy parts. An Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor works with an HEI ignition system to make a reliable yet powerful engine, erfect for playing in remote places. Good maintenance and clean living have resulted in a truck that runs extremely well and feels strong on or off the road. The engine exhales through a set of long-tube headers dumping into a Flowmaster dual exhaust system that sounds muscular, hile a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission makes it very user-friendly on the road. Lots of new suspension components, Pro-Comp 6-inch lift kit, nd Eagle Alloy 15-inch wheels with 37X14.5-15 Toyo off-road radials complete the look. The time and effort to build a truck like this is considerable, ut the price is remarkably reasonable. In the same family since 1978, t's a clean, apable, nd downright fun truck that's ready to rock. Call today!
