WHAT DO YOU BUY THE PERSON WHO HAS EVERYTHING? A Masterpiece- The 1956 Chevrolet Corvette ConvertibleThe Chevy convertible was almost finish for good until Bob Cadaret rescued the Corvette with innovative restyling design that was to become one of our most beloved classics and now a very collectible automobile. This particular car has the provenance, he bones, atching numbers and the skillful workmanship of Mr. Robert Bove to be considered original from its coves to the carburetors. Robert Bove grew up in the automobile restoration business and at the age of 10 was encouraged by his father take apart a 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air. According to Robert , his father was the "best bodyman" around. The paint onthe hardtop is original, obert repainted the body. This beautifully drivable 1956 Corvette enigma provenance is know in its entirety. First purchased new for his son's graduation present, oe Koons of the Potstown,PA area owned it until 1969 when Bob Gold, he next owner, stored it in his living room for 12 years. Around 1982 Charlie Bingham acquired this classic and placed it in his rec room and never drove it for the next 14 years until his widow sold it back to Bob Gold in the mid 90's. Noland Adams used this car in writing his book THE COMPLETE CORVETTE RESTORATION & TECHNICAL GUIDE VOL. 1 1953 THROUGH 1962.
Approximately 1996, obert Bove purchased it. Being true to his life long calling and his father, obert dry stripped the entire car (except the hard top)with a razor blade and washed it with a lacquer thinner down to the original fiberglass. Mr. Bove repaired any hairline cracks and then re-primed and painted with the original color -Onyx Black Lacquer paint. He sold the magnificent car to Mike White, hich it won a few awards including an appearance in CLASSIC CHEVY WORLD May 2001. In the early 2000s Robert Bove purchased it back.Bob just wasn't ready to part with this car that he had mechanically rebuilt – using mainly original parts with his own loving hands- until now! Actual 94,969 miles on this 1956 V8 265ci 225 hp dual quad four barrel ( 2X4 bbl) carburetors are in their original

cylinder walls, alue job and polished crankshaft by Bob Blitz. The radiator was recored with original type correct

core. A 3-speed non-synchronized manual transmission is part of this car along with a correct and original radiator.

perfect condition. The interior is not torn, o holes,( except for one minor one made by the convertible frame) no
