1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 454/450 hp Real Deal Solid

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 454/450hp - Real Deal Extremely rare. Factory Black Cherry with Black vinyl top and white SS stripes, paint code 78 B. Has very old paint, to the best of my knowledge it looks like it still has some of it's original paint and in other places it was touched up but this was done over 30 plus years ago. The black vinyl top is coming apart in the rear passenger side where the roof starts to come down, probably the original vinyl top. You can see under the vinyl top and the roof looks solid with no rust issues and it looks like the original paint. The body is extremely straight and rust free, (SOLID). LS6 Chevelles where always raced and cut up with Alterations in the body. Believe it or not this LS6 was never cut up, very unmolested body. Factory Black vinyl interior with buckets and console, interior code 756. The Black Interior is in nice shape for it's old age, the dash is unmolested and still has it's AM/FM Radio, that's pretty stocking for a LS6 Race car. It has the old rare over the counter reliable GM tach on the console. The original 454/450hp LS6 blew up in the 70's and was replaced with the correct over-the-counter GM 454/450hp LS6 in the early 80's, have paperwork on that. Turbo 400 Automatic and I don't think it's the original matching number one, probably replaced when they replaced the LS6. Back in the late 70's or early 80's one of the owners had a bulletproof 12 bolt rear end built for the LS6 and they used a different housing, the owner spent a lot of money back in those days building the LS6 rear end. The original gear ratio was a 4.10 posi and they replace it with a 3.73 posi and I have all that paper work too. The LS6 has been in storage for many years. The LS6 454/450hp motor will start up and run, sounds strong. Has the correct 14x7 SS rims with the correct Firestone Oval Track Bias tires. Does come with paperwork from previous owners, detailed information about the LS6,there phone numbers, emails, old pictures with the LS6 personal plate, newspaper articles and some Canadian paperwork too. In the early 70's it was in Canada for sometime. The LS6 was built at the Arlington Texas plant. That plant was very hard to find a build sheet and if you got extremely lucky and did find one it was usually destroyed and not legible to read because where they put them, but you can research that yourself and you will see what I'm talking about. Then the LS6 went to Anderson Indiana GM Delco Tech Center and a GM engineer owned the car then. It was supposed to be a GM Factory test car, it talks about that in the paperwork I have from previous owners. Like I said I have all that paper work I talked about that documents the LS6 but I don't have a build sheet but I talked about that in my listing and I don't have a Protect-O-Plate. 92,000 original miles. This is a really solid unmolested Chevelle SS LS6. The LS6 is pretty complete but it is messing a couple parts like the front grill and the SS grill emblem and the rear lower valance that goes below the rear bumper, the other parts that are off the LS6 are in the trunk like the original SS emblems and Cowl Induction emblems and the 4 headlight bezels and the stainless window moldings and more. Clean title in hand. Please don't ask my reserve if your serious just bid or make a real offer. If you want to talk in detail about the LS6 please leave your phone number.
