1981 Chevrolet El Camino El Camino

About this vehicleThis 1981 Chevrolet El Camino is a modified vehicle with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is used as a daily driver.Seller's Notes350 Edelbrock intake and carb, headers, electric cooling fans. The odometer most likely is not 65500, but I guarantee is not over 165500ExteriorNice 81 El Camino! 350 Engine with new starter, water pump, radiator, upper & lower hoses, heater hoses, electric cooling fans, 350 Trans, PS, PB, air shocks, suspension tight, heater&blower, all lights, turn signals, brake lights, and flashers work, the glass is all good, everything works except the horn, the head liner and the sun visors need work, needs cleaned, carpet needs shampoo, the body has some dings and dents, couple spots with surface rust but no perforations or damage. The front bumper has rust on the top and one spot on the R/F, see pics. There’s a spot where someone hit something and dented the rocker chrome and chipped the paint on the drivers side The bed is stellar! Overall it’s a solid car and worthy of some tlc. I was flying down to visit my mom and during the visit we decided to move into assisted living, and sell her home. I purchased this car from her neighbor to bring a load of household goods home instead of renting a truck. The previous owner said it would need the engine rebuilt but it ran well and only used 1 quart of oil, it does rattle a bit when you start it but quites down after warming up. The power steering has a slow leak, and I did see a spot of trans fluid where it’s been parked, but it’s registering full on the dip stick. The tires are BFG TA’s and have good tread but also some weather checking and probably shouldn’t be trusted, I ran 32 psi and hoped for the best. There is a spare, Jack, and lug wrench in place behind the passenger seat, and one extra wheel. It has full length dual exhaust with catalytic converters. My feedback is based on “better than described” therefore all the info! The plate expired August 31st, have owners manual and clean title! Thanks for looking! InteriorIn great shape at 40 years old!
