Seldom seen, and Rarely Available, this Factory Short Wheel Base/Short Box 4x4 has gone through a major restoration. If you have been looking at these truck or know anything about them, you will know the 1968 through 1972 years are the gold standard of vintage, classic full size collector trucks!
This particular truck come from the Factory as a true short box, refinished and painted in the original Factory Blue paint color with multi-stage clear coat finish. Be careful as people are shortening the frames on long boxes and putting a short bed on them and pawning them as real short boxes. This is the "real deal" short box. Add to the short box, a truck that actually came from the Factory with a Big Block V8 motor! That is right, this truck came with the coveted Big Block 396 V8 motor, which has been thoroughly over hauled/rebuilt and pumped up for more power. It sports a big Edelbrock 4 barrel Carb, mild Cam, and new air intake.
The truck's automatic Turbo 350 Transmission has been thoroughly over hauled/rebuilt with all necessary components and seals/gaskets. The transfer case for the 4x4 system has also been resealed. This trucks been given a mechanical new look on life!
This K10 sports ice cold Air Conditioning from the ever popular Vintage Air systems. The truck was an original Factory A/C truck and all the vents and registers have been retained for the Factory Look on the dash including the controls. You would not know from glancing at the dash that this truck has been brought up to the most popular comforts and conveniences. It has been given a new sound system from Retro Sound stereo radios. This look-a-like stereo head has an actual LCD/LED on the face with Factory look knobs for controls. It has a USB port to plug in auxiliary source of music etc. and has kick panel speakers with grilles along with a Sub/Woofer under passenger seat with built in Amplifier. The Sub Woofer has an actual dial/controller mounted in the Factory Console between the seats mounted under the lid and out of sight but easily accessible to the driver at any moment. The truck has the ever popular Bucket Seats with the aforementionedFactory Console between the seats where the seat belt buckles have their specific slots for storage when not in use as seen in the photos. Best of all.......these bucket seats have the Vintage Hounds Tooth cloth inserts. Just like Chevrolet used to install in these brand new trucks. The truck has been outfitted with a completely new interior!! New headliner with chrome trim, the original black door panels with chrome handles, vent windows, all new carpeting including behind the bucket seats on the bulkhead and completely on the floor and under the seats. The truck has an all new Tilt Steering Wheel, Brand new Steering Wheel, and the dash has the full gauge set, including Factory Tachometer!! Truck even has a rear cab mounted cargo light that shines over the Rhino style lined bed that is tastefully done just on the inside of the bed to give proper protection to the nice and straight bed interior.
This 1969 K10 4x4 sits proudly on restored Rally steel wheels with chrome caps and lug nuts. And a complete brand new set of knee deep, offroad tires with sidewall tread as seen in photos. The truck has a mild lift to give it that rugged stance and look to go along with the classic chiseled Chevy Truck looks!!
