Up for sale is a 1980 Chevrolet Monza hatchback w/ 37,130 original miles. It has been repainted one time back in the late 1980's. It has the Iron Duke 4 cylinder at 151 cu in. and 90 hp. 4 speed manual trans and non power disc brakes (drums rear). I can see 6 tiny sanding marks on trunk lid and 3 on the roof where body man did not sand out hail dings properly. None on the hood at all so may have been in car port and hail hit just back. No rust on underside or rockers or anywhere I can find (I poured over entire car on hoist too).
I drove this around town a few days and it runs nice, has pep, shifts smooth and tracks straight. It has near new Michelin radials size 185/80/13. Chrome is like new on entire car. AC blows cold, heater defroster works and the KMart cassette deck even works ! The headliner is starting to sag above drivers head but not bad. Rest of interior is in superb condition w/ no tears or rips or loose pieces (please study pics). Original spare w/ inflator never used.
I have changed oil, put in new air filter, and adjusted timing. Starts right up and runs good. No leaks underneath that I detected after it sat in heated garage all winter. I have a huge bundle of original paperwork and dealer invoice where sold new in Rapid City SD. I am including an original dealer showroom poster framed and ready to hang.
