1967 Chevrolet Camaro

At first glance, ou might take this frame-off restored 1967 Chevrolet Camaro convertible for a worked-over custom piece, ut the truth is, t's a mostly correct car with a few subtle upgrades, great-running 350, nd a gorgeous color combination. The old adage about black cars is completely true: nothing looks better, ut it had better be right. Fortunately, his is not only a low-mile, traight, lean car, ut the guys who did the finish work knew what they were doing. As a result, hat black paint is deep and is so rich and dark that it makes most other black cars look dusty. The early Camaro curves seem to be especially noticeable on this car, nd the dramatic curve along the tops of the fenders is shown to great effect. A bright red nose stripe is a great way to tie it together, nd while it doesn't quite leap out at you like a white stripe would, lot of folks will prefer the contrast of this car's look. You'll also note there's a chin spoiler up front and with a ducktail spoiler on the trunk lid, t has a zoomy Camaro look. The trim and bright pieces are in great shape, oo, nd it's always nice to see a Camaro being honest about what it is, o the original grille and taillights remain intact.Bright red Strato buckets featuring fresh seat covers with correct pleats and black stripes anchor the interior. Of course, ew seats were just the beginning, ecause there are also beautiful door panels, orrect black carpets that haven't been degraded by UV rays, nd a nicely preserved dash pad, ll lending to the car's restored look. The factory gauges are in remarkably good shape and there's a set of auxiliary dial sunder the dash, ight about where the factory might have put them. For entertainment, ou get an AM/FM head unit in the dash using original-style knobs so it looks right and works vastly better than the original AM unit. With a thick wooden rim, he steering wheel feels great in your hands and works well with the slightly modified shifter for the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. The black convertible top looks brand new and offers a crystal clear rear window, s well as a matching red boot when it's down. The trunk is solid and clean and has a reproduction plaid mat.No worries under the hood, ither, here you'll find a strong-running 350 cubic inch V8, ow dressed for show. The original 2-barrel carburetor and intake have been replaced by a 4-barrel setup giving this small block V8 some impressive muscle. The engine bay is nicely detailed, nd with just enough shiny stuff to make it sparkle, ncluding the Chevrolet-logo valve covers, atching air cleaner, nd even a chrome water pump pulley. It's backed by the aforementioned TH350 and a 10-bolt rear, hich hangs on a pair of composite monoleaf springs that ride and handle quite well. A new dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers sounds awesome and the brakes were recently serviced front-to-back. Combined with those brand new chrome Torque Thrust wheels and fat BFG rubber, he car has an awesome stance that works perfectly on this slick ragtop.Clean Camaro convertibles aren't getting cheaper, nd with a ton of restoration receipts and photos, his is a car you can buy with confidence.
