*** STUNNING - EVERY NUT AND BOLT - BODY-OFF - ROTISSERIE – RESTORED- PRO TOURING - REAL 1969 SUPER SPORT CAMARO – RS CONVERTIBLE! . GROUND POUNDING 400+ HP 383 STROKER MOTOR! . 4-SPEED OVERDRIVE TRANSMISSION AND POSI REAR END! . 100 ADDITIONAL PICTURES BELOW! *** WOW!! Look at this GORGEOUS 1969 Convertible Chevrolet Super Sport Camaro that is A REAL SUPER SPORT NOT A CLONE!! This is one of the Rare code “76” Daytona Yellow Convertible car built in 1969. This car was bought from the original owner in Las Vegas and had been in his garage under a tarp since 1977. This isn't your typical Camaro Restoration that someone did in their garage. This was every nut and bolt, FRAME OFF RESTORED over the last 5 years by a National Award-Winning Restoration shop right here in Idaho. WITH LESS THAN 500 MILES since restoration. This shop has won national acclaim by building cars that have won “Best of Show” at shows like these years “Hot August Nights” in Reno with 6,000 registered cars and “Mopars on the Strip in Las Vegas” and have been featured in Magazines like “Street Rodder” and the cover of “Mopars Collectors Guide”. I have driven this car several times and it is UNBELIEVABLY FAST yet is easy to drive in everyday traffic. It has the tire roasting power you want in town, it will raise the front end when you put the pedal down and has no wheel hop. I took it on the freeway it got up to 100 in no time with tons of pedal left, cruised at 75 MPH at 2500 RPM, and 2000 RPM at 65 MPH. It took a couple of rear-end gear and transmission governor changes to get this combination just perfect, but WOW was it worth it!!! The reserve on this car is not cheap but if you look at the picture above and the 100 additional pictures below and read this description carefully, I think the reserve is fair for the car considering all the time and money (Over $90,000.00) that obviously was spent on this car! THIS IS A QUALITY CAR FOR SURE! Let's start with the engine which is a VERY STRONG, REBUILT, GROUND POUNDING 383 CID V8 motor with aluminum angle plug performance heads and it is running AWESOME. The transmission is a smooth floor mounted four speed automatic overdrive transmission that also was just completely gone through and has a Trans-go baby shift kit and backed-up with the Original Multi leaf 12 bolt rear end with brand new Eaton Posi and 342 gears. Sounds AWESOME too with Sanderson Headers and custom dual exhaust with dual Flowmasters. Nothing sounds better than when you lay the hammer down on a built stroker with the right dual exhaust system, WOW! This car has had those little touches that you only get with a Master Builder, like the relief in the sub-frame for the engine that is dropped 3 inches down and 2 inches back for handling dynamics, smoothed firewall seams, relief for the HEI ignition in the firewall, etc... It has CPP Power 4-wheel disc brakes with Drilled and ported rotors, Power steering with a new box and pump, all the steering and suspension components are new, Brad new Tubular A-Arms. HD Front and Rear Sway Bars. Slide-A-Link traction bars… THIS IS BETTER THAN A NEW CAR! Next let's move on to the exterior and interior. The exterior paint was originally the super rare code “76“ Daytona yellow Paint (was only available on SS and Z28 models) almost exactly the same as the current color Corvette “Millennium” Yellow. This car was stripped to bare metal. The metal work was then done and every dent was taken out in metal! Then it was bare metal acid etched and primed and blocked and blocked and blocked some more. Then painted with DuPont Croma-Premier Base Clear system ($875 a gallon) and three stages of wet sanding and buffing. It is truly a mirror finish. It has a fiberglass “Yenko” hood. The Black Vinyl Yenko stripes were added to break up the yellow a little but we included the pictures before they were added so if you prefer it without the stripes we would be happy to remove them. The body was painted underneath before reassembly as you can see. The interior is also new with new Gen 4 Camaro Power reclining and original 1969 houndstooth front bucket seats, both sets have driver’s seat heating pads built in, new rear Houndstooth bench seat, new Hartz Canvas top with zip down glass rear window, convertible top frame was restored, new hydraulic pump, lines and cylinders, and new sun visors, new dash and dash pad, nice original steering wheel, new black carpeting and door panels. This car is nicely equipped including New R134 A/, dual Flex-a-lite 12” fans, an AM/FM/IPOD digital stereo from Custom Autosound and 4 Polk Audio speaker in the factory front and rear positions, factory console gauge package, dash gauges including HEI compatible Tachometer, and dual exterior color matched sport mirrors with drivers remote. All the rubber weather stripping has been replaced and not just replaced but the premium “Latex” replacement parts were used, all new Stainless Steel Brake and fuel lines, new Polished Stainless Steel fuel Tank, it really has too much to list. Car has 17" Black American Racing Wheels with Nitto Directional Performance Steel-belted Radial tires. THIS IS A REAL CONVERTIBLE SUPER SPORT CAMARO that has had a show winning restoration done on it. This is a VERY unique and solid car which any Camaro enthusiast would love to own! As usual I have tried to be as in depth and thorough with the pictures as possible. I have looked underneath and taken pictures of the undercarriage below and as you can clearly see it is immaculate, so clean you could eat off of it. As mentioned, EVERY nut and Bolt was replaced or refurbished. This car has all its original floor pans and trunk pans and they are as nice on this car as you can get. You can even see the factory spot welds along the bottom of the rocker panels in the pictures.
