1961 Chevrolet Corvette C1 VETTE SHOWCAR

INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME! PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 805-8O3EIGHT WITH ANY QUESTIONS. I WILL BE HAPPY TO DO A BUY IT NOW FOR SERIOUS BUYERS. Pictures do not come close to doing this Corvette justice but please click on the YouTube walk around video above to get an idea. Simply put, this is easily the nicest early Corvettes that I have ever had and I have had a bunch. It is a beautiful 1961 Chevrolet Corvette RestoMod Roadster that is ready to drive, show, and enjoy the day that you get it. Let me say first, if you are one of those Corvette numbers nazis that wants to know if the car still has the original date coded air in the tires and numbers matching water in the radiator, THIS CAR IS NOT FOR YOU AND PLEASE GO BOTHER SOMEBODY ELSE. This car is not an original numbers matching anything except for the VIN matching the title. However this Vette is faster, it handles better, it stops better, it has a better stereo, it is more comfortable, and the fit and finish is far better than the original General Motors standards.
The car was a complete body off restoration with sort of a Pro Touring or Hot Rod style in mind. This car was meant to be driven, not live it's entire life in one of those stupid plastic bubbles in the garage. The frame and undercarriage are beautiful, nicely detailed, and nearly as clean as the top side. The car is arrow straight. The paint is spectacular. The finish is like glass. The doors fit nicely. The chrome and stainless were restored and are in beautiful condition. Although it is close, the paint is not perfect like any that have actually been driven or used. It has a minor crack in the paint in the center of the hood where I believe somebody originally missed the clearance on the air cleaner stud. It is minor but I just want to be upfront and honest from the beginning so you are more than happy with your new Corvette. It will still win any show you take it to.
The engine is a huge upgrade from the factory 283. It is a well built and completely streetable Pump Gas 350 c.i. small block Chevy V-8. I do not think you could fit much more chrome and polish under the hood even if you tried. The engine compartment is fully detailed. The car is very fast and well mannered on the street. It does not get hot even in Southern California traffic. The healthy exhaust tone is excellent. Mild cam with a nice lump. It sounds awesome at idle but not obnoxiously loud. When you jump on it from a stoplight however, the neighbors will know you are coming. The original slush box Powerglide transmission was tossed in favor of a new and built Turbo 350 three speed automatic. One great upgrade is the addition of the Steeroids Power Rack and Pinion power steering kit. You can steer it with one hand now if you like. Power Cross-drilled and slotted front disc brakes. Vintage Air Conditioning was also added. Lokar billet shifter. Billet wheels with good tires.
The gray interior is really nice and very comfortable. The door panels and dash were also done to match the upholstery. Even the trunk area was done to match for a fully finished look. The Corvette has an excellent upgraded stereo. You can hear it just fine even while cruising down the freeway. I have both the hardtop and the soft top assembly for the car but neither were ever restored as there weren't any plans to ever use them. I have no idea why you would want to drive it without the top down but I have them. The convertible soft top frame is disassembled for powdercoating and I do not have the new canvas for it. The hardtop needs the plexiglass rear window replaced. Again, both tops need to be restored.
I think you could look for years to find another example of this quality for the money. You could not come close to building this car for what you can buy it for today. You could easily spend $100k and who knows how many years having somebody build you one. It will sell this first time advertised. This is an amazing early Vette but it is not a 0 mile, undriven, 1000 percent perfect Trailer Queen either. Please be realistic with your expectations. Clean, clear CA title in hand. This car is a Restomod with the classic looks of an early Corvette and the performance and comfort of a much more modern car. I am located in Cardiff, CA in North County Coastal San Diego. I have a chance to buy a 1963 Split Window Fuelie so I need some room. Inspections in person are encouraged. Thanks and good luck!
