1978 Chevrolet Blazer K5 Cheyenne

1978 K5 PROJECT BlazerCheyenne edition! SBC 400 Manual Trans Lifted NORESERVE!!!

PROJECT!!! You are bidding on a NO RESERVE auction! The highest bid wins. Tough to find a builder like this one. Big money once you restore. This is a project vehicle, runs and drives with a small block Chevy 400. LOOK CLOSELY!! (PLEASE view all 3 videos, pictures and description BEFORE bidding!) RUST, some dents. Engine needs work! If it sits for a period of time, coolant leaks into a combustion chamber in a cylinder on passenger side. Hard to start after sitting a few weeks, smokes white = coolant...SEE VIDEOS. Then clears up. $500 deposit immediately following auction end is required. Too many projects, not enough time. I have driven this vehicle very short distances. I would not recommend flying into Denver and then driving home. Bid to win!

The not so good:

·Rear window needs regulator, locked in up position.

·Engine runs ok, starts right up but a compression test revealed that 2 cylinders are a bit low when the engine is cold. See video. I would rebuild at some point, coolant coming out of passenger tail pipe on a cold start after sitting in cold for some time. Engine oil does not seem to be mixing with coolant at this time. It could in the future, given the current situation. Smoke does clear as engine warms, leak must be sealing as engine warms.

·The rear differential ring and pinion show a lot of wear when I had the rear diff cover off for service. Working for now, not clunking will need attention in the NEAR future. Before it will be reliable. I would recommend replacement of the rear differential.

·Power Steering leaks a fair amount, pump and gear box need to be resealed.

·Engine oil leaks some.

·Door locks work fine with the key but the buttons to lock from inside are missing.

·Exhaust system is less than ideal. Amateur done. Mufflers are there but do not exit the vehicle.

·A portion of the plastic instrument panel is damaged Just cosmetics - bottom left.

·The driver's side window crank works but the handle is damaged.

·Windshield is cracked.

·Parking brake cable is not attached in rear.

·The hood has a little bend due to someone forcing shut, rust on the front edge.

·Rust.See ALL pictures. Some rust in the rear floor, front floor, rockers, quarters, doors, one fender... Anywhere you see a license plate with screws lies a rust hole under. This was done so vehicle was still safe to drive, exhaust gasses not enter. To my knowledge the frame is not rusty, just the body.

Based on the instrument panel this vehicle was born with an automatic transmission. Was converted by previous owner. Shifts into all gears fine. I would not have noticed had it not been for the automatic shift indicator in the dash.

Bid to win! Feel free to ask questions and or set a time to view the vehicle before the auction ends. Once you win the auction, you are the new owner! Full payment must be made before the vehicle or title leave my possession within 7 days of auction end.
