1975 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

How do you make others green with envy? How about a 1975 Corvette convertible with a very distinct color, the numbers-matching V8, and an A/C interior? And you don't even have to tell them all how affordable this classic really was. This was the final year for the C3 Stingray convertible. And while that gives this car its place in Corvette history, it's not the only piece. The Bright Green is the factory-correct color, and Chevy only... offered it for 1975 (it was even one of the rarest colors for the year.) It all comes together on this example to deliver a significant Corvette of true rarity and distinction. This special color does a nice job of showing off the crisp lines and long curves that define the C3. Plus, these later ones had the color-matched front and rear bumpers integrated into the design, so it give even more space to showcase the metallic green. But while the paint makes the most of the first impression, this also does a nice job in its brightwork details, like the rocker panels and iconic Rally wheel trim. The white folding roof adds to the distinct look, but a convertible like this was meant to be open to the world. The factory-correct black interior looks highly original and ready to get down to speedy business. The high-back bucket seats, sports steering wheel, and large speedo and tach are all part of a great driver's package. And the full auxiliary readout panel (with working clock) is at eye-level. There are nice premium factory features, like power windows and provisions for the AM/FM radio. But you'll really love that they upgraded the air conditioning to modern R134a and gave it a recent service. It means you will get to enjoy top-down motoring even in the summertime. Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. This has a nice honest and stock look, right down to the diaphragm that seals the air intake to the fresh air hood. But if you dig deeper you'll see worthwhile investments in newer components to keep this running right, including an aluminum radiator, fan clutch, and fuel pump. So it fires up easily and runs strong. The TH400 three-speed transmission is also believed to be original to the car. It offers a nice balance of stout construction for performance driving and nice automatic shifting. This grand touring feeling is heightened by more great driving features, like power four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and the fully independent sports suspension. Complete with owner's manual, this Stingray convertible offers a lot of history and appeal for quite a nice price. So don't let it slip away, call today!
