1969 Chevrolet Chevelle

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Coupe

The name Chevelle has origins in the Hebrew religion, particularly a female name which means "Bold and Beautiful". These are two qualities an individual getting into the collector car market which are certainly important qualities. Bold due to the power produced, and beautiful as the second generation Chevelle is thought to be the best iteration of the history of the model. Chevrolet was hitting its stride in the power market, and the Chevelle was an integral part of this.

"Bold and Beautiful" for consignment is a great example of power and styling with this 1969 Chevelle. Ready to drive right out of the Classic Auto Mall and begin turning heads and snapping your neck.

Exterior
This numbers matching car covered in Frost Green Poly, presents in nice condition. A few bubbles around the rear fenders, and below the B pillar on the rear window are 2 areas showing minor problems. Otherwise the double domed hood, sloping fastback and side panels are straight and dent free. A dual stripe runs along the belt line and creates an arrow point on the front of the car. All badging is correct, new for 1969 side marker bezels, dual headlights, and a revised front grille cast in ABS plastic is seen. Standard Chevelle SS wheels and rims are on all four corners.

Interior
Metallic Medium Green coated fabric make up the rarely ordered front bench option, as well as the rear bench. Door panels have the same finish, all in good condition. A darker green dash in vinyl is peppered with aftermarket gauges hanging below the dash as well as attached to the steering wheel. Very good condition green carpeting floods the floor and shows no fading and very clean. An aftermarket Sony AM/FM Cassette has been installed into the original radio position. The headliner is unremarkable, and clean.

Drivetrain
A 396ci V8 with 325hp is nestled into the engine bay. This is a numbers matching engine, and is connected to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. A new Holley 4-barrel carburetor sits on top, and dual exhausts with chromed tips are seen underneath. Underside appears clean, and a 12-bolt rear differential is present. Consigner states new control arms and bushings (upper and lower) have recently been installed.

As for the Bold it nails the power part of the equation with 396 cubic inches of Chevrolet big block. Appeal is certainly no problem, since it's a timeless Chevrolet coupe that's decked in Brilliant Green Poly, which covers the beautiful part of the definition. Numbers matching adds great significance, as well this car can provide years of enjoyment thanks to its mechanical soundness.
