1977 Chevrlet El Camino being sold for a Vietnam veteran

Price: - Item location: Lubbock, Texas, United States
Description:

1977 Chevrolet El Camino 2-door

I am selling this 1977 El Camino for a Vietnam veteran who purchased it from a used car dealer in Lubbock, Texas on June 30, 2004. The owner chose the El Camino because he liked the styling and because it had space behind the driver's seat to accommodate his wheel chair. After fifteen years of enjoying the car, new health concerns have caused the owner to let the car go to a new owner.

Repairs and updates on the car include the following and more (receipts totally more than $17,000 are included in this auction):

1. July 2004. brake drums, pads, replaced; belts, hoses, coolant, gas shocks, air shocks (rear), u-joints, etc.$460.64

2. July 2004. Professional body work, minor rust-repair, color change from original gold/white to present color. $3,001.25

3. October 2004: body to bumper seals fillers; re-chrome front & rear bumpers, stainless & aluminum moldings.$1,598.00

4. February 2005: Replaced carpet floor, back & pad, new headliner, dash cover door panels, sun visors. $1,196.00

5. January 2009: Repair hail damage and repaint entire car. $2,200.00

6. March 2009:Complete seat recovery, steering wheel cover, etc.$1,045.00

7. March 2009. Long block engine, parts, & labor.$3,491.12

While the El Camino did not have a frame-off restoration, it was cared for and improved for every day transportation and was garage stored. For example, among the improvements made was installation of door hinge kits.

Hand controls have been removed. Enginehas approximately 500 miles since installation in 2009 and performs as it should. Suspension seems tight making highway driving a pleasure.

Bid with confidence.
