1974 Chevrolet Impala Bicentennial

The history:
My wife's aunt bought this car new in '74. She was in her sixties when she bought it. She put very few miles on it due to the fact that she had very bad arthritis and the car doors were too heavy to open, and the car was too difficult for her to operate. Car was just too big for her, frankly. She put it in the garage after only putting a few thousand miles on it and bought an '87 Taurus instead. Drove it until she couldn't drive anymore (early '90s).
The Impala then stayed in a garage (never driven) for about thirty-eight years. Around that time, some relatives (a retired GM mechanic and a classic-car enthusiast) decided to get it out and work on it a bit, do some renovations. Basically, they decided to re-build the engine (there was no damage to it; it had just set for too long) and the transmission. They replaced needed parts with new GM parts.
There was rust on the left quarter panel, and a local body-shop installed a new panel, but the modern paint they tried to use didn't adhere to the panel, and this is why there is a blemish on the left quarter panel. Otherwise, the car is in very good shape, both mechanically and aesthetically.
It cranks and runs, drives and steers, brakes well. The original key is included and the original spare tire. Has the original owners' manual and maintenance schedule book.
New tires have been put on with lots of life left in them.
It has essentially (apart from her original use of it) been driven only a few other times to local car shows.
A great deal for a Chevy fan or collector.
