1966 Chevrolet C-10

This 1966 Chevrolet C10 pickup is an awesome adaptation of cues from the Pro-Touring playbook and traditional custom hot rodding. With a beautifully finished bright red paint job, custom bucket seat interior, nd a fire-breathing 396 cubic inch big block, his is one truck that can truly do it all.To me, he best customs don't use wild graphics or in-your-face colors to get their point across. Instead, s is the case with this truck, hey are built to the highest standards, inished in subtle colors, nd let the craftsmanship and detailing speak for themselves. All the sheetmetal is stock but the natural design of the C10 gives the nose-down attitude of the chassis a menacing look. The bodywork is straight enough to be used as a scientific instrument, nd the dramatic body creases stand out even in a set of brilliant red paint. You could probably spend a day crawling over every inch of this truck and find one or two flaws, ut the bottom line is that very few trucks of any kind have had the time and effort invested in them that this one has. And let's not overlook the brilliantly finished oak bed that's surely much too nice to ever work another day. Wow!Inside, he '60s and today meet and mesh perfectly. The exterior color palette extends inside where the dash and doors have been painted bright red to match the bodywork. Tan leather buckets from a late-model Chevy truck are a very clean fit here, nd it included a center console and arm rests as part of the package. Brown carpets add an elegant look that makes this vintage pickup feel very upscale and help control noise and heat. The original gauges are gone, ut a modern aluminum panel fits so neatly in the original dash that you might not notice that the elegant Dolphin gauges aren't OEM. A beautiful wooden steering wheel with a familiar GM center adds to the vintage vibe, ut the modern Sony AM/FM/CD stereo is pure 21st century. A Lokar shifter manages the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and seat belts have been added for safety, very good idea. Quite honestly very few custom trucks are finished to this level, egardless of their price tag.But this isn't just a pretty truck, t's also potent on the road, hanks to a thundering 396 cubic inch V8 full of the good stuff. Nicely built but not necessarily designed for show, he engine bay is clean and functional, ith a ton of upgrades that make this truck capable of cross-country trips. An Edelbrock carburetor and intake deliver the fuel mixture, hile a big cam and ceramic headers help build horsepower. Up front, here's a massive aluminum radiator, nd underneath, here's a late-model Camaro subframe that adds power steering and disc brakes. Snarling performance mufflers sound awesome, nd the C10's coil spring rear suspension rides extremely well compared to other pickups of the era, aking it a good match for the Camaro setup in front. It's been lowered just the right amount, rouching on its suspension without bottoming out and with highway-friendly gears, t's a truck you can drive cross-country without a second thought. And we totally love the painted Rally wheels, hich emulate a vintage steel wheel but with a bit more personality. Fat 235/70/15 front and 255/70/15 rear blackwall radials add to the sinister rake. You couldn't finish a truck to this level for the asking price, et alone fill it with such a beautiful interior and a 396. A lot of value and a lot of performance that will never go out of style. Call today!
